Rate this post

Social media marketing is not just about posting content, hitting the ‘like’ button or tweeting on posts. It is beyond the seemingly simple tasks that the users perform online on daily basis. Being a business person,  it is impossible to create an effective presence on social media platforms without a well planned and specific business strategy. This blog shares the most common social media marketing mistakes which hamper business growth. Given below are 3 social media marketing mistakes as follows:-

Social Media Marketing

1. Making Inadequate Investments:

There is a huge difference between using social media for personal purpose and for business purpose by individuals. As a business person, one should make reasonable investment for the promotion of brands on social media  platforms. Do  not take it for granted. Here are some ideas for effective use of social media :-

  • Hire a professional photographer who can click professional photographs that will be apt to be posted on the company page over Facebook.
  • Avoid using textual  status in words. Instead use pictures that may be a part of image app or stock photos. This will save your cost as well.
  • Make your content appear rich visually.Hence, try out new ways for status updates and event discussions/updates.

2.  Failure In Understanding The Peculiarities Of Each Platform:

It is not a wise idea to post content, no matter how beautifully it is crafted, on each and every social media platform required to make your presence felt. There are some unique features of every social media platform and you can ignore them at the cost of crashing your entire social media campaign. Therefore, firstly understand the platform and then post your content accordingly.

3. Having An Inconsistent Voice Across Various Platforms:

The platforms used may differ but the message that is to be delivered should not vary across various platforms. All the contents posted should speak about your brand only. The readers must hear the same voice again and again though in a slightly varying tone.
