Most of the marketers today generate leads by either trade shows, seminars, mailers, cold calling, outsourcing marketing activities, advertising and telemarketing. This is outbound marketing, which is the traditional marketing and quite expensive. Well, not everyone could afford this type of marketing as it involves large sum of money.

Inbound marketing is the most affordable form of doing businesses. Instead of advertising every customer, there is an essence of all online presence which makes it simpler. Few of them are mentioned below:

1. Generates The Attention Of The Customer

It helps to gain the attention of customer, the right kind of customers come to you to know about the company’s offerings and the products, rather than customers going outbound such as for print media, advertisement etc.

2. Generates Demand

It helps to generate demand towards the customer as it helps in converting every lead to a customer. Customer’s increases by converting more number of leads as they are interested in the product and the service which the company offers.

3. Saves Money

Inbound marketing is cheaper, as you don’t have to invest like outbound advertising such as TV, radio, telemarketing, cold calling, etc. You require only the company resources that can do work effectively and efficiently.

4. Larger Audience

The reach is large, i.e it is made for a large number of people. People before buying online do proper research and then go ahead. For e.g if Alan has to buy a book from either Amazon or Flipkart. He will compare the prices and other variable factors and then will buy it. Hence, they have a wide reach.

5. Investment

Inbound marketing is like an investment not an expense. As the campaigning is done, content created etc. is well recorded. They hence create awareness in the minds of people, which can be kept for a longer period, so the benefits of it is ensured, therefore for longer time and hence very informative.

      Yes, Marketers are not more focused on Inbound Marketing as they quality leads when compared to Outbound Marketing. The acquisition cost per customer comes down very rapidly in Inbound Marketing. But the action plan should be well laid to make this work well for the company.

      Outbound marketing is something which is followed by large corporations. But when you talk about local entrepreneurs, Enterprise,small industries, inbound marketing is the best.

      Totally agree. A business who can’t afford to spend much on Outbound/ traditional marketing can afford services that are easily available on the net through Inbound marketing. But some companies spend on both Outbound and inbound marketing campaigns to measure the customer conversions per campaign. But Inbound campaign will give better and faster results relative to Outbound campaigns.

      Hello, Dr. Indrajit. Audiences are customers/visitors/buyers who visit a particular site for a specific purpose. Traffic is the number of people that visit a particular site, it could be for a quick search or the visitor must have stumbled on the site. Leads are audiences/visitors who are interested in buying products and services or seek information from a website. It’s profitable for websites to have 4 leads a day than having 20 visitors, because leads convert into sales.
