Another brain teaser for this week, continuing with our Case of the Week Series, lets solve this week’s question together.

You are appointed to launch n grow a Facebook Community around a recently launched product by an emerging company. Which of the following approaches will you take to name the page on Facebook:


a.) Make company name as the name of the Page
b.) Make product name as the name of the Page

c.) Name the Page around the theme (or value proposition of the product) and mention ‘supported by product/company name’
d.) Any other name?

The correct answer is option c). As people are more likely to join a Facebook Page if it is based on a theme rather than a Facebook page that talks of a brand. Admin can create a Facebook page around theme and then can quote “supported by” or “powered by” the above said brand.

Second advantage it gives to brand admin is diversity of content for Facebook page rather than limiting it to brand news and achievemnets, which could be bit boring/ monotonous for Facebook fan. “Social media for Small Business – Powered by Dell” is a great example for this.  Last but not least this facebook fan page  is going to give your brand a simultaneous visibility.
