Manu Sankar DasManu Sankar Das is a marketing professional working in the Middle East. He did his bachelor’s in Computer Engineering and worked as a software engineer for 3 years before doing his masters in Brand Management and Market Research from MICA. He has been working as a Marketing Professional since then and moved to Kuwait last year to pursue his career in Brand Management.

Digital Vidya: What interested you in learning Digital Marketing?

Manu: Marketing has its core in Consumer Insights and in today’s world there is no better way to reach out and understand your customer than with the help of digital media. I strongly believe that Digital Marketing is the way of the future and I wanted to be part of that change and be ahead of the curve.

Digital Vidya: Which course did you participate at Digital Vidya?

Manu: I participated in the Certified Digital Marketing Master Course. The course added a lot of value that now, I have enrolled for the Growth Hacking Course.

Digital Vidya: Why did you choose Digital Vidya’s course?

Manu: I did a bit of secondary research online before choosing Digital Vidya. The syllabus, the experience of the faculty and the manner in which the course was structured attracted me to Digital Vidya. Also, the fact that they have a tie up with Vskills, an initiative approved by the Govt. of India made my choice easier.

Digital Vidya: Please share top 3-5 takeaways from the course participated at Digital Vidya.

Manu: Here are the top takeaways from the course I participated at Digital Vidya:

  1. The course was an eye opener for me and helped me understand the different facets of digital marketing like email marketing, social media marketing, web analytics etc.
  2. I always knew that Digital is a powerful medium but I realized the true potential of this media after taking up this course.
  3. Each module was covered in depth and the practical sessions within the courses made me have hands on experience on the topics being discussed.
  4. The most important takeaway was the confidence to apply the learnings from this course at my workplace.
  5. Inspite of being in Kuwait, on a different time zone, I was able to take part in the course without any hiccups or obstacles.
Digital Vidya: Please share your experience in learning through an instructor-led, online format.

Manu: To be honest, I was skeptical about the instructor-led, online format initially. However, my apprehensions were put to rest when I attended the demo session in the beginning.

My faith in this mode of learning has only strengthened after attending the CDMM course and now I have enrolled for the Growth Hacking course. This online format transcends geographies, time zones and has been a great source of learning for me. I look forward to attending more such courses with Digital Vidya.

Digital Vidya: What did you like most about Digital Vidya’s training programme?

Manu: I really liked the manner in which Digital Vidya training programme was structured. The video recording, the experience and enthusiasm of the faculty really encouraged me to read up and explore more about digital marketing. Also, the other team members made the course very interesting by asking questions and making all of us look at and approach problems from different perspectives.

Digital Vidya: Do you suggest any changes to Digital Vidya so that the value of its courses can be enhanced further?

Manu: I really enjoyed the sessions and the only change I would like to recommend is to have a few more hands on sessions and more exercises to further strengthen the concepts being taught. Maybe a project at the end of the module where the participants get to apply the learnings from the course.

Her deep passion and enthusiasm for writing guided her towards being the Associate Editor in English for her college magazine. She is in the content writing and marketing fraternity for 5 years now. A top-notch individual, she is proficient in writing content for multiple requirements including blogs, articles, books, brochures and social media. She embraces practical knowledge of WordPress CMS.
