Their accounts market all of their projects and use various digital medium like SEM, SEO and E-Mailers. Hence, it became a need and personal interest for Vipin to explore digital marketing domain further.
Which course of Digital Vidya you participate in? How did it help you acquire new skills related to digital marketing?
Vipin: I am currently undergoing Certified Digital Marketing Master (CDMM) Course offered by Digital Vidya. Till now it has been really helpful and helped build my knowledge right from scratch.
I learned a lot about SEM, SEO and their applications and methodology. Also, I got to know the future prospects in this field and the career graph that I can look at.

How has the course contributed in your career growth including new job opportunities?
Vipin: Too early to say at the point since I am undergoing training. However, I am confident that this course will help me immensely since there is no industry/sector which is untouched by Digital Marketing today.

Vipin: This is one area I need to work upon. However, Digital Vidya’s blog and sites like Search Engine Journal should be followed.
Which are your favorite 3 digital media channels (e.g. Twitter, Google etc) and why?
Vipin:
- Google – Google is synonymous to Internet. For everything we Google!
- Twitter – very fast, crisp, to the point, uncluttered and most importantly used by mostly intelligent audience.
- Instagram – Though I am yet to explore this but given its popularity among users and marketers I am sure it is of real value to a business.

Vipin: Google AdWords, SEO and Re-marketing

What are the challenges a person is likely to face when s/he enters into Digital Marketing industry? How can s/he overcome those?
Vipin: Challenges could be the dynamic nature of online world which pushes us to be on our toes every time since anything at any point of time can be redundant.
To keep oneself updated of the trends in DM and keep learning new things is the key to overcome any challenge.
For someone who’s looking at full time or part time job or an internship in Digital Marketing, what approach would you advice?
Vipin: Get a good training, take up some project even if for free to hone your skills, keep on learning new things by joining Digital Marketing groups, be updated of latest trends, work consistently.
Digital media especially Social media channels such as Facebook can eat up a lot of your productive time if not used wisely. Do you agree? What all can one do to efficiently leverage these channels for personal growth?
Vipin: Yes I do believe that Facebook is a time (productivity) killer if not used wisely. To effectively leverage that one need to first access what is in it for them? What do they really enjoy or look for on Facebook. If its only entertainment that they seek then (and secondly) fix a time in a day mostly evening to access it.
If you were given a chance to rebuild your career, what changes you would have made to have even better growth and fulfillment?
Vipin: I would have upgraded my skills often. I would have learnt at least one new domain a year.
How do you see Digital Media evolving in future?
Vipin: Every product, every service will be searched, sold and purchased online in future. The ones not online will cease to exist.
