It started out in the living room of co-founder Reid Hoffman in 2002 and it officially launched on May 5, 2003. Jeff Weiner is the CEO, and the company’s management team is made up of seasoned executives from companies like Yahoo!, Google, Microsoft, TiVo, PayPal, and Electronic Arts. LinkedIn is publicly held and has a diversified business model with revenues coming from member subscriptions, advertising sales, and talent solutions.

CEO Jeff Weiner presented redesigned app that that is centered on a central feed of updates from your network that is similar in appearance to Facebook’s News Feed.

Nicknamed “Project Voyager”, this app will be available on iOS, Android and the mobile web when it launches in the coming weeks.

Jeff Weiner, who is also the company’s head of product, noted Project Voyager represents a significant departure from the current version of the app, which can feel disjointed. Instead, the new app features a simplified design that divides the app into five sections: Home, Me, Messages, My Network and Search. Just like Facebook almost similar theme, one can join groups and message to fellow others. New LinkedIn app has many features and advantages, many has voiced their opinions that it can be next Facebook. But it can reach heights of Facebook for sure in coming years. Already many peoples use it as job search engine, many companies have made it mandatory for their employees and employers.

Just look above image closely, you can see home, me, messages, my network and search tabs. Quite similar to Facebook in news-feed section. You can like or comment on any post in LinkedIn just like Facebook. After using it for a while you will feel it like Facebook itself, here LinkedIn wants your professional career to grow. In LinkedIn you can improve your skills and get connect with many professionally skilled and improved people, you can give advice’s to junior’s or take advice from senior’s. You can message them for any help or query, if they are near to you. Even you can connect with them to your network, just like friend request on Facebook.

Just like recently redesigned Pulse app, the home feed will primarily surface news stories that are shared by people in your network as well as items it thinks will be most relevant to you.

This new app also has a redesigned messaging experience that’s similar to the changes rolled out on desktop earlier this year. Users will be able to exchange stickers and GIFs within the app as well. Sounds great isn’t it? LinkedIn will be must have app in comings days for sure. It’s revolution for your professional career in bigger terms.

The LinkedIn app has gone through a massive redesign — but still looks pretty familiar.

In “Me” section allows users to easily keep tabs on stats like how many people are viewing their updates and profile and how their connections are interacting with them. Even it shows how many connections you have in your network.

The CEO also showed off a new calendar feature that showcases how the company is using artificial intelligence in its products. Users who opt in to the experience will be able get predictive updates about their contacts ahead of meetings and other events. Just like Facebook Events, I think you’re more familiar to.
Voyager also emphasizes the company’s growing portfolio of apps. A launcher feature allows users to easily move between the other LinkedIn apps they use like Job Search, Pulse or Connected freely. I mean hassle free.
The company also introduced two new offerings for businesses: a new an improved version of its Recruiter app and a new referrals product that makes it easier for people to refer those in their network for openings at their company. The two best features to cherish until next major changes.

LinkedIn has allowed users to know what does matter the most for them in everything in their profile or account, such as settings, profile options or privacy etc. This new LinkedIn app allows even deeper options providing new navigation page for ease. Now users can slide homepage to the right to open a navigation page and can customize the page as per their taste or needs.
