Rajiv Pandey Spoke On Digitization Of Economy At 3rd International Conference “I-CODE-2015”

In developed economies, increasing digitization significantly boosts quality of life. However, in countries with lower levels of economic development, the impact of digitization is less pronounced. Most likely because quality-of-life factors beyond digitization — food, housing, clothing, water, energy, health, and transportation — are in shorter supply and thus more critical. In other words, digitization improves a country’s quality of life only when the basic needs of its population have been met. In more developed economies where basic human needs are more easily met, digitization plays a less pronounced role in expanding access to education, sanitation, water, and healthcare. While digitization — the mass adoption of digital technology through connected services and devices — has proven to accelerate economic growth and facilitate job creation, its impact is not uniform.

In the present day scenario, digitization can play a crucial role in enabling policymakers to spur the economic growth and development. The digitized generation has readily transformed social interactions, facilitated new industries others and reshaped the ability of people to access and leverage the information. The 3rd International Conference ” I-CODE-2015″ – “Digitization Of Economy” organized by the Research & Development Cell of Asian Business School on the 1st of August brought together leading experts from the industry and the conference proved to be an excellent opportunity for networking and sharing experiences and opinions on the Digitization of Economy. The conference attracted academicians and industry experts who were present to present their research and papers on the topic.

Objectives of the Conference are enlisted below:

  1. To highlight the significance of ―Digitization of Economy between countries, institutions, investors, practitioners and policy makers for attaining sustainable global growth.
  2. To provide a forum for researchers, practitioners and all stakeholders to discuss and arrive at new insights on key issues on Digitization of Economy.

The conference began with the first panel discussion chaired by Mr. Annurag Batra – Chairman & Editor-in-Chief, Business World Media Pvt. Ltd. The topic for discussion was e-Commerce – The Game Changer. The panel consisted of noted guests from the industry like Mr. Saurabh Srivastava – Chief Marketing Officer, MobiKwik; Dr. Amit Pareenja – Head Solutions – IT &Telecom Vodafone Business Services, Vodafone Mobile Services Ltd.; Mr. Sahil Jain – Co,-Founder, DineOut and Mr. Mayank Batheja – Associate Vice President, Lenskart.com. The views and opinions presented by the panelists on the topic were indeed insightful and enlightening.ABS-1

The 2nd panel was chaired by Mr. Pranav Jyoti – Head – HR, Getit Stores Pvt. Ltd. (AskmeBazaar.Com). Eminent guests like Mr. Sumit Pandey – Head – Learning & Development,One97 Communication Ltd. (PayTM); Mr. Rajiv Pandey – MD, Scroll Matra Lead Programme Leader, Digital Vidya and Mr. Navin Raina – Sr. Account Director, Gartner Consulting were a part of the panel and presented their thoughts and views on the 2nd topic of the discussion – Digitization – A Paradigm Shift in Knowledge Management.

One of the panelists in the second panel was Mr. Rajiv Pandey – MD, Scroll Matra Lead Programme Leader,Rajiv Pandey Digital Vidya. Rajiv has a comprehensive experience of over eight years in the digital marketing spectrum. Currently positioned as the Joint Managing Director of “Scroll Mantra” offering 360-degree digital marketing services and Lead Trainer at Digital Vidya. Having worked with hundreds of big and small businesses including Herbalife, Pepe Jeans, Mu Sigma, Reliance Digital, Asian Paints etc. Rajiv is helping brands in developing & implementing smart marketing decisions by optimal understanding of user behaviour and turning clicks to conversions. He loves to constantly innovate and devise strategies to reach out to target audience and build a differentiation point for cool startups and established brands. His core expertise lies in SEO, Analytics and Search Engine Marketing. He has been able to deliver unmatched results to various start-ups and companies.

Both the panel discussions were very informative and gave a very good insight to the students providing them an opportunity to interact with the eminent guests from the industry.ABS-3

The conference drew to a close post the paper presentations by noted academicians. Overall, it was day filled with huge exposure and learning for the students.
