Social Media For Lead Generation & Sales Session At Social Media Week 2014 In Mumbai

Social Media Week Mumbai 2014 was an ideal platform, which was used by social media lovers and was celebrated for a complete week. This event had a lot of insightful discussions from myriad experts from various industries, including Bollywood, Politics, Digital Media etc. This event was a huge success and enriched all participants with great ideas and expert knowledge from different speakers.

Digital Vidya’s CEO & Co-Founder, Pradeep Chopra was also invited to share his views on social media in a panel discussion which was held on ‘Are You Making A Difference In Social Media?’ and was hosted by Web Marketing Academy. Furthermore, he led a workshop on ‘Social Media for Lead Generation & Sales’ and enriched the participant with the understanding on social media and its power in generating leads and sales.

Considering the importance of the topic and Pradeep’s popularity, Social Media for Lead Generation & Sales was one of the most awaited sessions at Social Media Week Mumbai. Today, while a large number of businesses are spending enormous amount of time and money in leveraging Social Media, majority of them struggle when it comes to generate leads or acquire customers using Social Media.

While Social Media is a great medium to expand reach and build brand for a business, generating real business through Social Media is not an accepted norm. The purpose of this session was to demonstrate that Social Media can play a direct and significant role in impacting business growth for vast majority of businesses. The session showcased various kinds of businesses ranging from Hippo (an FMCG brand), Mahindra XUV (an Auto business), Kaya Skin Clinic (a Retail business), Deskaway (a B2B Startup), Faasos (a Fast Food Restaurant) among others. Given these variety of business could leverage various Social Media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube to create incredible revenue growth for them, there’s no reason other business can’t do the same.

Pradeep also highlighted the importance and opportunity of Re-targeting through Facebook Ads, one of the latest trends, which helps improve conversion ratios in terms of Leads or Sales depending upon the kind of business.

Most important, he shared with the audience a Digital Marketing Customer Journey Framework, which if applied can help literally multiply the revenue for any organization using Social Media or even other avenues in Digital Marketing such as Search, Email Marketing etc. He also shared with the audience a Worksheet to create Facebook Advertising Strategy for Lead Generation and Sales as one of the actionable takeaways for everyone.
