Socialblood Develops Blood Donor’s Web Network

This entity primarily works for the social good of the human community at large by rendering plenty of services. Karthik who primarily dropped out of Rutgers University, New Jersey to create his very own tech-based company. Eventually, since then, he has been an Internet Entrepreneur and renowned personality.

Due to his sheer concern about the paucity of blood, especially that pertaining to blood donation, which is one of the most crucial concepts, in 2011 he noticed and identified about the structural loopholes in the local system of blood transfusions. The incident that happened with a family was the major reason behind him getting inclined towards the concern for this issue.  The family was struggling to find the regular transfusion for their four year old girl who was supposed to be treated for a disease that affects around 40 million Indians -Thalassemia.

Thus, the community Socialblood stands strong with its mission which is not only to create an easy, trustworthy and a reliable network of donors around the world but also grow together with Hospitals, Blood-banks and supporting organizations.

Also, at Socialblood, attempts and efforts are made to change and disrupt archaic ways of finding blood donors and build the largest network of voluntary donors around the world.

The founder of Socialblood, Karthik Naralasetty acknowledged the social networking community, Facebook by putting across his thoughts to CEO, Mark Zuckerberg at an event. He stated that Facebook is not only a social networking platform or merely a tool but it is also a community that lets people to do good for the world.

On this note, Karthik Naralasetty raised a question to Mark:

Will Facebook in the future take up the challenge of blood donations and help solve the problem that is affecting billions of people around the world?

In response to this, Mark replied that this is one such problem on which Facebook wishes to work upon along with several communities working in the same domain. One of the big types of social good that Facebook tries to do and the ones that wish to coordinate with such a large number of people.

Mark even substantiated the instance of Ebola virus, an issue that literary spread like an epidemic on the social sites as well. So, he brought upon this concept and proposed to work for this noble cause for the community to know.

      Must say that Karthik Naralasetty is doing great work. If it really works, then many people will be benefited from that. “Social media for social cause” is the excellent idea. Also, Step taken by Facebook is really admirable.
