The much awaited and talked-about Digital Marketing Workshop which was scheduled to be conducted by Asia’s leading Digital Marketing training company -Digital Vidya. Digital Marketing Workshop which was conducted on the 9th-10th February, 2015 at Malaysia was an extremely insightful and interactive session for the attendees.

Digital Marketing expert and Digital Vidya’s Co-founder, Kapil Nakra hails from a very strong IT background. At the workshop held, he primarily laid emphasis on how Digital Marketing can help leverage greater customer acquisition as well as engagement with a view to ensure huge profitability.

At the event, prime focus was laid on delivering information and knowledge on different aspects viz. Social media marketing, search engine marketing, web analytics, search engine optimization, affiliate marketing, content marketing, email marketing etc. that come together to form the base of digital marketing. Since Kapil was addressing the audiences in Malaysia, he primarily laid emphasis on the market structure prevailing there. After having delivered the information on how the country can leverage upon digital marketing for better customer acquisition so as to ensure higher profits in the business concepts.

Here are the key pointers and takeaways from the Digital Marketing session led by Kapil in Malaysia:

  • Out of ~29 Millions Malaysian, ~20 Millions are online and close to ~16 Millions are using Facebook.
  • Unlike India, Malaysians are more active on Instagram than Twitter, which is the second most active social media platform after Facebook.
  • Mobile marketing is a huge opportunity in Malaysia. Also, it has been seen that mobile penetration in Malaysia is higher than Indonesia, United States and world’s average.

Thus, all in all here is what Kapil had to say after having addressed the Digital Marketing session:

“Malaysia has a very high percentage of internet usage but comparatively businesses are not so active, digitally. It is difficult to find creative work done by any brand or agency in Malaysia. I found the most creative campaigns by Air Asia & Malaysian Airlines. I think with better awareness & understanding of Digital Media, Business will invest more in digital marketing campaigns in near future.”

      Such kinds of educational programs are always very useful to the audiences and the industry. There are lots of people, who are not aware of the full potential of digital marketing and how much marketing dollars it can save them, leave alone the countless hours of painstaking planning. Many digital marketing professionals don’t know how to plug in the loopholes and achieve the desired results in a given budget. Congrats Kapil Nakra for the good work!
