This is the last step of this task. After this step, you will continue with blogging on your own, till the time you are clear that you want to take blogging seriously. In that case, you will perform that next task of shifting your blog to paid hosting and do further customisation.

Guidelines

As a blogger, after having decided upon the topic on which you want to write, you need to keep a track of the following things:

  1. First and foremost, start working on the title of your post:
    1. It is important to write a catchy title for the blog post.
    2. The title should be accurate and clear.
    3. The title should preferably have numbers.
    4. Including popular keywords is highly recommended. For instance: Top 10 Digital Marketing Training Institutes in India.
    5. From SEO point of view and Google’s algorithm, the length of the title should not exceed 60 characters.
  2. Next, content of the blog post:
    1. It is important to frame the body of the content and structure in such a way that the introduction should be captivating. It is important to grab the attention of the readers, so give an interesting introduction to your blog post.
    2. Lay emphasis on the quality of content. This implies that it is advisable to be specific v/s generic.
    3. After giving a brief introduction of the topic, create a structure of the blog post by defining the content in paragraphs, preferably in points, so that the interest of the readers is not lost.
    4. Wherever possible, include facts/numbers in the content. Also, quote real life examples related to the topic.
    5. Keep the lines short and not more than 50-60 characters. Long lines make it difficult to focus and you might end up losing the readers.
    6. Keep short paragraphs allowing readers to read quickly
    7. Get Straight to the point and do not use jargons
    8.  As per Google’s Algorithm, the ideal length of any blog post should be approximately 800-1,000 words.
    9. Besides content, use more visuals/videos to increase the SEO value of the post.
  3. Further, proof-reading the content is crucial:
    1. Once you are through with writing the content, the next important step is to proof-read or edit the content.
    2. Keep a check on grammatical concepts.
  4. Insert a Call-to-Action (CTA):
    1. It is highly recommended that at the end of the blog post, there should be a call-to-action (CTA). It could be either to subscribe for a blog, download an e-book, share views or suggestions in the comments section.
  5. For every blog post, use a relevant CTA.
