Influenced by this famous saying, two passionate IITians, Pradeep Chopra and Kapil Nakra, visioned a ‘Digital Movement’ and they have been successful in implanting that seed not in India but across 24 countries as well. We see them growing and getting better with each successive day. Now, with more than 15 years of experience in entrepreneurship, they are still evolving themselves in this journey towards betterment.
Soon after graduating from IIT Delhi in the year 1999, Pradeep and Kapil, started Whizlabs Software, one of the prominent players in Technology and Project Management Certification preparation industry. Fortunately, they turned the right stone and with the power of Digital Media, they sold Whizlabs first product in the US in January 2011. It was an ever a cumbersome journey for them. Rather they enthusiastically looked forward to coming up with something new in the digital marketing field.
The date was 28th November 2009 when Pradeep Chopra, CEO & Co-Founder, Digital Vidya and Kapil Nakra, Co-Founder, Digital Vidya laid down the foundation of a digital marketing learning platform. Though the idea about Digital Vidya was actualised in October 2009, the very first workshop was on Social Media Marketing that took place in Delhi in January 2010 which gave a kick-start to this education firm. The motive behind the foundation was unique. They wanted to come up with a pertinent platform where not only students but also professionals from different domains can look up on and this how the journey of this Digital Marketing Education Company, Digital Vidya, began. The duo, Pradeep Chopra and Kapil Nakra, focussed on working towards Java certification courses and programs to create a niche for themselves in the education industry.
Within few months, Digital vidya successfully became the one-stop destination for Social Media Education in India where professionals from every sphere of life as well as students knocked Digital Vidya’s doors to seek assistance. Soon after, Digital Vidya embarked in-house customized training programs for corporations. The first corporate training was conducted for Top Management at Intuit in Bangalore. It was not even few months that Digital Vidya had its wings spread over various countries. Some of them being Malaysia, UAE, Oman, and Singapore.
Now its been 6 years and Digital Vidya has shown what piece de resistance is with its constant practice towards achieving notable results! ‘Technology is just a tool. In terms of getting the kids working together, and motivating them, the teacher is important’ and being true to this saying, both Pradeep and Kapil have shown the way to their teams for 6 years and are continuing to do so.
The result of their hard work could be seen in the achievements made by Digital Vidya since 2009. 1. 100th Social Media Workshop
After its first workshop in Jan 2010, Digital Vidya celebrated its 100th Social Media Workshop in the next two years. The 100th workshop on Social Media was a 2-day workshop in Mumbai dated 19th and 20th July, in Delhi on July 26th and 27th and in Bangalore on August 7th and 8th. That’s surely some tremendous growth seen by Digital Vidya. Being one of the protagonists in the Social Media learning in India, Digital Vidya’s workshops aim to help its participants to drink in and leverage Social Media Marketing for customer acquisition, brand building, and brand building. Up until 2012, more than 2000 professionals from around 500 brands such as Parle, Naukri, Infosys, Shoppers Stop, Intel, Nokia, General Motors, Google, Ogilvy, eBay, Snapdeal, Airtel and many others have participated in 99 Social Media Workshops conducted by Digital Vidya across India, Oman, Malaysia, and Singapore.
2. 200th Digital Marketing Training
Completion of 200 Digital Marketing Training seemed like a turkey shot to the enthusiastic and self-motivated team. It was in the year 2014, that Digital Vidya successfully crossed the milestone of 200 digital marketing training programs. The brand was established because of the teamwork and the ever-improving efforts by them. Considering these continuous efforts towards betterment, both the individuals as well as organizations (including agencies) started to look upon Digital Vidya for the purpose of creating benchmarks for Digital Marketing skills. With the growing demands of Digital Media as one of the most sought after careers, Digital Vidya associated with Vskills, a Government Of India enterprise to launch joint certification programs.
Digital Vidya launched its flagship program, Certified Digital Marketing Master (CDMM) in the year 2013 and the response from all over the world is overwhelming. Since people showed trust in Digital Vidya, they carried it forward by launching 10 new certification programs in Digital Marketing with Vskills to live up to their audience’s expectations.
Digital Vidya by 2014, helped over 5000 professionals and students from more than 2000 organizations and academic institutions to grow by providing its Digital Marketing Training Programs.
