Amongst other eminent speakers, Digital Vidya’s Co-founder and CEO, Pradeep Chopra spoke at the IIM Indore’s Annual Cultural & Management Festival- IRIS. Pradeep threw light upon the significance of Digital Marketing which is evident in all walks of life.

According to a report by UN International Telecommunications Union (ITU), there will be over 3 Billion internet users by end of 2014. It’s obvious that every organization would like to leverage Digital Media to fulfill multiple business objectives ranging from employee hiring to customer acquisition. Considering the scarcity of Digital Marketing talent due to lack of quality avenues for Digital Marketing education, there’s an ever increasing need to skilled professionals in Digital Marketing.

Students especially Management Students are expected to know the basics of Digital Marketing and that’s the reason why management institutions are becoming serious about imparting relevant skills to their students. They also know that considering the dynamic nature of digital medium, they would continue to need the support of industry professionals to educate their students about latest happenings in Digital Marketing industry. For the same reason, Digital Vidya has been regularly invited at educational institutions including IIMs & IITs across India to organize variety of Digital Marketing training programs including long term courses.

The objective of this session at IIM Indore was to empower the MBA students about the opportunity of Digital Marketing for them. The theme of this workshop was Digital Marketing for Customer Acquisition. Pradeep started the session by quick orientation to Digital Marketing including sharing latest trends and statistics related to Digital Media. He then inspired the students about the power of Digital Marketing by sharing various examples of businesses, who’ve been successfully leveraging Digital Marketing for their growth. These examples including Tweet to Order case study of Faasos, Will It Blend Viral Videos by Blendtech,’s success in leveraging SEO to acquire millions of visitors, Mahindra meeting their quarterly target in 10 days for XUV 500, leveraging Whatsapp for generating 15% of their orders, Kaya Skin Clinic impacting 20% of their revenue through Facebook.

Those case studies were then followed by Digital Marketing Customer Acquisition framework, which can be used by anyone serious about Digital Marketing to multiply their revenue. Finally students got an opportunity to create Online Advertising Strategy for Lead Generation and they were provided with a worksheet to do the same.
