Facebook Analysis: Narendra Modi 2nd Most Popular World Leader On FB

On the completion of two years in power of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government, social networking platform, a Facebook analysis of the ways in which NDA-led government is reaching people via Facebook was released by the blue-themed social giant.

Without any doubt, Narendra Modi is the star social media. The recent evidence of Modi’s presence on social media could be seen by the figures put forward by Facebook and how NDA-led government is leveraging these platforms in order to reach out to the masses. It is seen that ministers across departments used the platform mainly during the last one year so as to connect with the public via Facebook features like Notes, Instant Articles, Live, and Q & A.

Facebook Analysis: Narendra Modi’s Top Posts

Starting with our Prime Minister, who has been the protagonist in the social media. His top posts between May 26, 2014, and May 23, 2016, includes:

At the top position: A picture with his mother captioned as ‘My mother returns to Gujarat. Spent quality time with her after a long time & that too on her 1st visit to RCR.’ The picture has 34,047,024 likes.

On the second position is the picture where Modi met Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg, thanking him for his support to ‘Digital India’ campaign. It received 34,047,070 likes.

According to Facebook analysis, Modi makes an average of 2.8 posts daily.

Modi is crowd pleasing and the presence he created across various social media platforms is visible. The statement released by Facebook says

‘Modi continues to be among the most liked world leaders on the social media platform, ranking second in popularity after US President Barack Obama and ahead of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who occupies the third position’

Out of the total of 50, there are 47 cabinet ministers who have verified their presence on Facebook. Along with this, Facebook has compiled a list of the top 10 Union Ministers on the basis of their activities on the blue-themed social media platform. This includes the total number of shares, likes, comments, average number of daily posts and also, page size.
