Digital Vidya: What interested you in learning Digital Marketing?
Ishan: There was a time when one said that the pen is mightier than the sword. And I feel that today the same holds true, just the pen seems to be getting replaced by the digital era. This major shift in the way communication is carried out in today’s society is something that intrigued me to learn deeply about digital marketing and Social media.
Digital Vidya: Which course did you participate at Digital Vidya?
Ishan: I pursued the 6 month Certified Digital Marketing Master(CDMM) course.
Digital Vidya: Why did you choose Digital Vidya’s course?
Ishan:
I feel Digital Vidya has a very holistic and value based approach towards each of its courses. Digital Vidya never tried to sell a course or carry out a sales pitch to bring me on board which I feel just made it even more legit and trust worthy.
Digital Vidya: Please share top 3-5 takeaways from the course you participated at Digital Vidya.
Ishan:
- Online learning is not as difficult as it may seem; it’s infact very interesting.
- Digital marketing is not something that should be considered as a sideline tool- rather it should be made a front-line tool.
- There is always a tool available, to track every possible data in a business that one may want to track.
- It’s the content that matters.
Digital Vidya: Please share your experience in learning through an instructor-led, online format.
Ishan: At first, I was very unsure of how this course would really turn out to be, since I had never indulged in an instructor-led online format before. But I think all my doubts were wiped out after the first session itself. I realized that an online instructor led format is even more interactive than an in-class format. For one, there is much less hesitation is asking questions even if they may be silly ones.
Digital Vidya: What do you like most about Digital Vidya’s training programme?
Ishan: The best thing about Digital Vidya’s program is the kind of flexibility that is extended towards participants with respect to extra classes or re-doing a few classes/topics as well. Secondly, I feel the continuous feedback mechanism allows participants to also be able to share their thoughts on very realistic timelines, which ensures continual improvement in the quality of learning and teaching.
Digital Vidya: How do you think Digital Vidya’s training programme contributed to your career growth including to your current role?
Ishan: Ever since I completed my course, my perspective towards digital marketing took a shift to a much more clear thought process while planning any form of brand activation or activities. My understanding of how one thing could impact the other also deepened. With this deeper understanding I was able to plan and execute campaigns, as well as manage budgets in a much more efficient manner, thus increasing the impact that a campaign would have on the result.
Digital Vidya: Do you suggest any changes to Digital Vidya so that the value of its courses can be enhanced further?
Ishan: As such I feel that the courses are very well laid out and have a great framework and structure. Just one thought- maybe during the entire course, Digital Vidya could entitle participants for one or max two 1-1 sessions. Each of these could be 10 or 25 mins sessions with an instructor of their choice form all the instructors that they may have had.
