Below are some pros and cons of both the form of marketing:-

1) Pros and Cons of Traditional Marketing:

A) Pros :-

  • Face to face communication :- People can listen, tell, discuss and exchange their ideas which will help in making good relations . On Selling through Social Media it is not possible to throw parties and host event in launching of some product without physical presence.
  • Understanding the customer :- A good salesman can better understand the customer through discussion and mind reading as he/she is front of them as a result he can do a good sale.

B) Cons :

  •  It’s forced on you :- Traditional marketing is usually forced on the viewer, as they come across it in their daily lives.
  • Lacks specific targeting of prospects :- In traditional marketing we can’t specifically target people based on age, location, interests Etc.
  • Its Costlier :- You pay to reach out to people who might not be prospects at all.
  • Reach is local :- Only bigger brands can afford global reach.
  • Direct Results are not measurable.

Pros and Cons Of Social Media Marketing :-

A) Pros:-

  • Much higher conversion ratios:- Because all social marketing can be tracked and adjusted, people respond to it more over time. In other words the return on your investment is huge. More people that like you, means more money!
  • Specific Targeting of prospects :- Can Specifically target people based on location, age ,interests etc.
  • Cost Effective :- You pay only when audience actually views or interacts.
  • Wide reach almost anyone present anywhere in world can be reached at standard budgets.
  • Results are Measurable :- Results are easily measurable as clicks, impressions, visits and sales.

B)Cons :-

Social marketing relies on customers being highly interactive on the internet. If a customer doesn’t use the internet often, or at all – you lose them as a client. That’s why a certain balance must be achieved.
