Surjajyoti: I participated in the Certified Digital Marketing Master (CDMM) Course. I should give a huge credit to the design of the entire program and a big shout out to V 2.0 with all the tasks, to-do lists, specialized sessions, experts plug-ins carved to apply all the Digital Marketing tools the learning seemed to be a piece of cake, the entire journey of the program was very engaging and supporting, also with an assigned coordinator throughout my course module to help me with my tasks and queries, learning seemed pretty easy.

What is your advice to newbies who want to build career in digital marketing?
Surjajyoti: There is a great demand for Digital Marketing in India and there would be tremendous growth in the future.
The future of Digital Marketing would tremendous in the coming year as the no. Of people are going digital in these days. It is the best source for the company to reach out to the numerous customer in cost effective way so these companies are investing a lot in digital marketing to do the promotion of the product.
The digital marketing has become mandatory for the company which is operating in the existing market that’s why the companies will have hire employees to do the function of digital marketing will lead to good demand of the digital marketing in the coming year.
So, the people who are planning to go into the digital marketing they will have less competition in this field because not everyone aware about the courses of digital marketing and no all the colleges offer the course of digital marketing. It is a great opportunity for those who are looking forward to make their in digital marketing and the demand of digital marketing would tremendous in the future.
For someone who’s looking at full time or part time job or an internship in Digital Marketing, what approach would you advice?
Surjajyoti: Well, half job is already done if you have taken up the initiative to enter Digital Marketing industry, the rest is how effectively you can implement your learnings and gain experience and exposure. Never fear to take initiative, trust your gut above all believe in yourself.
Digital media especially Social media channels such as Facebook can eat up a lot of your productive time if not used wisely. Do you agree? What all can one do to efficiently leverage these channels for personal growth?
Surjajyoti: It’s true social media takes up our productive time if not used properly. You can do so much more and the power of social. Media is something to get very serious about., here are some of the best practices to utilize the power of social media.
Find the Right Groups
Facebook and LinkedIn both offer great opportunities to join groups focused on specific topics or industries. If you can find groups that line up with your area of expertise, then you’ll be able to share that experience and build authority around your personal brand.
Keep the Image Consistent
Across all of your social profiles, you have to maintain a certain consistency with your brand. When people want to learn more about you, they may search for you on a number of social outlets. Presenting yourself in a consistent manner helps you control their perception of your personal brand. You can damage an otherwise impeccable reputation if one of your profiles shows up with content or images that don’t represent you well.
- Engage Regularly
Building a brand takes a lot of effort, and it should be treated like a job. Every day, you should be sharing and producing content. Adjust the frequency and types of content based on the audience presence.
Diversify Your Content
I recommend crafting a communications strategy for your personal brand that includes an editorial calendar and a diverse content plan so that you won’t resort to publishing the same types of articles every single day. Be sure to include images, videos, articles, and even questions. I see a lot more reciprocal engagement when I change up the type of content that I post daily
Connecting with and even collaborating with influencers is a smart way to build your personal brand and get yourself seen, but it takes time. You have to develop a relationship with influencers before they’ll want to work with you.
How do you see Digital Media evolving in future?
Surjajyoti: If I take a stock of digital marketing as a profession, it started picking up around a decade ago, and is probably at its highest point right now. How the role of a digital marketer will look like in ten years from now is anybody’s guess but I am very certain of at least one thing – it will be very different from how it looks today. It would certainly not involve fretting over reconciling numbers, having to deal with incomplete user personas, and treatment of channels in storeroom.
