Digital Vidya: How did you get into Digital Marketing?
Rajeev: You can call me a technology expert by heart or a Programmer. Some 11 years ago, I wanted to learn PHP, but incidentally landed into SEO. After that I have never been able to take the crawler out of my Brain. My sphere of work envelopes SEO, SEM, Analytics along with other aspects of Digital Marketing and Training, and the learnings still continue.
Digital Vidya: Why do you think it’s important for entrepreneurs, marketing professionals and students to learn Digital Marketing today?
Rajeev: For students it is mandatory to learn digital because they are the future of the marketing industry. Since more and more brands and companies are exploring their prospects in this industry; hence creating good opportunities for a bright career.
For Marketing Professionals also, it is mandatory because brands all across the world are putting more focus on digital as a medium, so it becomes one of their KPIs to understand and run digital campaigns.
For Entrepreneurs, it is again very important because digital platform is a medium in which ROIs are higher with respect to any other conventional marketing channels. Also measurements of impact of investments in different digital channels like SEM, display, SEO and Analytics is very much possible with the help of tools and software. It helps in the analysis of success and failure of the campaign.
Digital Vidya: What kind of Digital Marketing training programs you lead at Digital Vidya? Feel free to share any interesting experiences you’ve had while training at Digital Vidya.
Rajeev: Having an expertise in the field of SEO, I lead training for SEO in Digital Vidya.
As far as interesting experiences are considered, I have always found online and search trainings intriguing, especially with respect to SEO. When you talk about crawlers and how Google treats the website for people who are not aware of it. It is always a gratifying experience to observe naïve learners getting fascinated about the knowledge shared during each session.
Digital Vidya: Please share top 5 takeaways your training participants get out of their participation.
Rajeev: As per me, top 5 takeaways are:
- They will understand SEO, Search, Google, Online Tools and their usages and website better than ever before.
- They will know different modules of any type of website in the world and will understand how these modules work in a complete system.
- They will understand how search engines are structured and how they work.
- They will learn the art of quick audits of their websites.
- They will be able to design basic SEO campaigns.
Digital Vidya: Please share your experience in delivering a course in an instructor-led, online format. Is it really effective & engaging medium?
Rajeev: When you speak to an audience that is invisible or limitedly visible, then it is very difficult to understand what is going on in the audience’s mind and in that case I design interactive sessions, which prove to be extremely helpful. Such a format for the course flow helps in keeping a momentum accelerated so that people are more engaged with the presentation.
Digital Vidya: What do you like most about training at Digital Vidya?
Rajeev: It gives enough space and time for an instructor to explore as much content as you can carry and the institute will never restrict you from ‘innovating’ the techniques to train people. Innovation is one of the main pillars for them.
Digital Vidya: Do you suggest any changes to Digital Vidya, so that the value of its courses can be enhanced further?
Rajeev: Digital Vidya foresees a progressive future and its dynamism is reflected in its work culture and values which motivate growth. Right now, everything seems at their correct place and order. Let us explore more and then we will figure out if there is anything that needs a change.
