Swarada Chitale has a very multidisciplinary background and has pursued academic and professional interests in Life Sciences and Management. She has done her Bachelors in Biology and Masters in Environmental Sciences. She has worked with environmental consultancies for 4 years. She then developed an interest in marketing and then decided to pursue MBA.
Digital Vidya: What interested you in learning Digital Marketing?
Swarada: During and after the MBA, I realized that Marketing has changed over the years and it is no longer restricted to the print medium alone. Marketing has now turned digital and it is the contemporary and future trend. Therefore, in order to stay ahead in the professional race, learning digital marketing was a no brainer, besides I like social media and wanted to learn how to leverage digital marketing for my career.

Swarada: The email marketing course opened up a new technique of marketing altogether. The Google analytics module again was an ee opener on what could be achieved with analysing the digital data. The hands on practical oriented assignments helped me to understand and apply the concepts earned during the online classes.

The class was very interactive, with demonstrations of tools, interesting discussions on the topics. The best part was that we got to learn from the best trainers in India without leaving home.

Swarada: The structure of the courses, the latest curriculum, practical based assignments and the video recordings of the classes were some of the main highlights of the course.
Digital Vidya: Do you suggest any changes to Digital Vidya so that the value of its courses can be enhanced further?
Swarada: I think DV should add a module on content marketing which is a very valuable skill thanks to frequent algorithmic changes to google. I think there also should be more classes on how to set up a wordpress website and incorporate all digital marketing aspects in it. In view of the latest Google updates, a comprehensive course on Mobile marketing would be useful for by future batches.
