Currently, she is working as an Advanced Technical Writer (Contractor) with Keysight Technologies, Manesar.

Digital Vidya: What interested you in learning Digital Marketing?
Dhupinder: Technology is my passion and breaking a problem into smaller chunks, analyzing it subsequently, and cracking it finally interests me the most. As a writer, I have had my fingers in many pies, for being a writer is not the end. There’s a lot of research and knowledge acquisition that you indulge in. Besides, what if you don’t want to grow vertically as a People Manager? Or, how do you make yourself more marketable?
The mantra is to keep reinventing yourself after every few years, excelling in the new avatar, and then finding something new and state-of-the-art to acquire proficiency in. Given the nature of digital marketing, I didn’t see myself taking a detour to get a handle on the digital marketing concepts. SEO, e-mail marketing, and web analytics is something that I had been practicing in my current and past roles. I thought of acquiring a stronghold in these fields and at the same time, diversifying into other, allied fields.
Digital Vidya: Which course did you participate at Digital Vidya?
Dhupinder: I participated in the Certified Digital Marketing Master (CDMM) Course. The course comprises six modules – Email Marketing, Social Media Marketing, Inbound Marketing, Search Engine Marketing, Search Engine Optimization, and Web Analytics.
Digital Vidya: Why did you choose Digital Vidya’s course?
Dhupinder: I have been following Digital Vidya for a long time. I chose Digital Vidya because of their course modules, their excellent track record, and vast experience. Plus, the educational resources available on their website, rife with practical tips, speak volumes about how deeply entrenched these folks are in the digital marketing arena.
Digital Vidya: Please share top 3-5 takeaways from the course you participated at Digital Vidya.
Dhupinder: The first and foremost takeaway from the course has been the wealth of practical knowledge imparted during the course duration. Besides the primary content, the instructors would provide useful vignettes of information and valuable tips pertinent to the practical business scenarios. The short YouTube videos shared during the Search Engine Marketing provided an orientation on how YouTube can be leveraged to get focused content, even what didn’t get covered in the module. Then, the experiences shared by the other participants who are already in these and allied fields further provided insights into the field. The hands-on exercises and assignments instilled the required confidence for being able to do good in this field.
Digital Vidya: Please share your experience in learning through an instructor-led, online format.
Dhupinder: Instructor-led, online trainings aren’t new. But they are the best thing after the actual classroom trainings. For working professionals and distant students, instructor-led, online trainings are ideal. Infrastructural progress has ensured that the classes proceed without any glitches. Since, it’s live, all the queries can be addressed during the class. The Digital Vidya instructors are, anyway, available even after the classes (over e-mail) to ensure that all the queries get addressed and the assignments get marked. In short, an Instructor-led, online training is not a monologue – it’s interactive and rewarding.
Digital Vidya: What do you like most about Digital Vidya’s training programme?
Dhupinder: The instructor-led, online training format, the course content, and the clocklike precision in beginning and ending the classes. Besides this, the pre-reading material and assignments were great! Before every class the Digital Vidya folks would send SMS reminders or call and after every class we would receive a call to share our feedback on the session. That was quite thoughtful. Even if you are not able to attend a class, the recording is available for reference. (Though I would recommend attending the class.)
The association with Digital Vidya does not end on the day of the course completion. You keep on getting invites to webinars and learning sessions even after your course is over.
Digital Vidya: How do you think Digital Vidya’s training programme contributed to your career growth?
Dhupinder: As I shared earlier, at least two modules in the course related directly to what I do. Understanding the Web Analytics and SEO are two of my stretch goals in my current employment. Hopefully, I’ll be able to apply the knowledge acquired in the course. Who knows, I might anticipate a career move into Digital Marketing, soon! It’s time to reinvent…again!
Digital Vidya keeps on sharing news about job opportunities, as well.
Digital Vidya: Do you suggest any changes to Digital Vidya so that the value of its courses can be enhanced further?
Dhupinder:
Excellent work! Keep it up!
