Marketing has taken a new turn altogether with traditional methodologies becoming a passé and digital marketing taking the centre stage. This concept of marketing however was and is being practices by many but there are only few have got the right combination of expertise and skills thus putting forth the perfect results.

While making a mention of the best in the digital marketing fraternity, one name that stands out is Digital Vidya, which came into being in the year 2009 by the IITian duo Pradeep Chopra who is the CEO of the company and Kapil Nakra , the Co-founder of the company.

A serial entrepreneur, Pradeep Chopra, quit his job with TCS, a job that he got from the campus placements and interestingly was awaiting his US visa to join a start-up. It was then that he met his co-founders, of their first venture Whizlabs Software, an IT Certification (PMP & Java) preparation company that came into being 2000 by Pradeep, Kapil and their hostel mate Purvesh Sharma from IIT Delhi, which is an online learning destination for candidates to prepare for IT and Project Management certification exams. Interestingly, more than 2 million professionals from more than 100 countries in the past 14 years have benefited from the learnings offered by Whizlabs Software.

Later in 2009, Pradeep and Kapil triggered off a Digital Marketing training company Digital Vidya, which has been providing self-study and instructor-led online digital marketing certification courses, especially its Certified Digital Marketing Master course (CDMM), in exclusive association with Vskills, a Govt. of India initiative, to sales and marketing professionals. Besides this, Digital Vidya has been actively conducting corporate trainings and workshops to acquaint the attendees about the different concepts of digital marketing. The list of corporate clients comprise of Sony, Tata, Mahindra, KCC, Philips, Intuit, GE, Cisco, Times Internet, Citibank, Adobe, SAP, Wipro, Ernst & Young, Pernod Ricard, Viacom18, and Reliance amongst others.

Recently, they have partnered with Google and Microsoft to develop programmes that enable their partners in India to leverage digital marketing for growth.

The duo has been actively contributing towards the growth of their venture, the resultant factor of which is their first acquisition. They have recently acquired another leading digital marketing training firm, Digital Academy India operating in the same domain since August 2012, founded by the husband-wife duo, Aditi and Gaurav Oberoi. Digital Academy India’s flagship programme, Certification Programme in Digital Marketing (CPDM) also offers similar opportunity, the additional factor being the live project that the candidates perform.

Now, the two digital marketing training firms are together spreading the knowledge about this popular form of marketing and enriching the knowledge of the aspiring digital marketers.
