Vine is a mobile application owned by twitter. It enables a user to create and post short videos. This service was introduced with a maximum clip length of 6 seconds and it can be shared or embedded on social networking sites say for example twitter and Facebook.

Vine was founded on June 2012 and was later acquired by twitter on October 2012. Initially it was available for only iOS devices, now it has been introduced on windows phone, android, HTML5 and Windows 8.

On December 17, 2013, Vine announced that users will now be able to get vanity URLs for their profiles.

Lately a new way to experience Vine has been introduced i.e. on web. Users can log in at and can view home feed and like, comment, and share videos which is similar to what is available in their mobile application. Users can also visit their favorite Vine profiles and can browse their videos they have created since joining Vine. As well as they can also share their profile with others so that others can also view their post.

Finally users can also check out a new feature that is added exclusively on the web: TV Mode. It is an entirely new way to watch Vine videos. Users can click on the TV Mode button in the upper right corner of their feed or any profile to view the collection of videos in sequence and in full screen mode.

The release of this new feature is the first step towards bringing a richer and more enjoyable web experience for the users.
