Just to give you a backdrop, Akanksha Maheshwari graduated from SKIT, Jaipur and had majored in Computer Science. After her graduation, she started working as a PHP developer. Mir: What prompted you to learn Data Science & why?
Akanksha: There is a big fuss about Data Science for the past few years and the advancement happening in the field is really amazing. The scope of Data science is almost within every domain. There is still a lot new to happen, a lot new to create and do in Data Science. It’s always good to be part of the things while they are growing because there is always something new to do and create. You can’t do much in the filed which is already developed and mature. That’s really exciting about Data Science.

Akanksha: The online method worked really well for me. No issue of traveling. Total time saver. Also, the interaction with mentors was really good and one to one so I never felt the lack of communication.

Mir: What kind of help did you receive in doing your assignments?
Akanksha: All the assignments I did were full coverage of all the important concepts which have been taught. Also, it helps you create the logics and think through the problem.
Mir: How good was your experience in doing the project?
Akanksha: The final project covered all the concepts and the algorithm we have studied. Also, it was a little challenging. We were encouraged to do it on our own but there was also help if we stuck somewhere. Which helped us to know where we actually stand.
Mir: Was the placement process organized, did you benefit from it?
Akanksha: Yes, it did. They will help you throughout the process from resume making to the interviews in the companies. I am currently working as a Machine Learning Engineer at ForgeAhead Solutions.
