Step 13: Add a Call-To-Action to the Home Page

Prepare your website to generate leads

Why & What

Using the Contact Form 7 plugin installed in an earlier step, you can insert a Call-To-Action in the Home page to have the visitors subscribe to your newsletter or promotional offers.

Keep the sidebar widget texts short. Otherwise, the layout is distorted and the sidebar widgets are shown down near the footer instead of top-right.

Steps to follow

For our example, we will insert a CTA in the Home page in a right sidebar.

First, change the default page layout to have a right sidebar.

Go to Appearance > Customize > Fruitful theme options > General.

Change the Page templates by default > Page setting from Full width to Right Sidebar.

Click Save & Publish.

Return to the Dashboard and go to Contact > Add New.

The Language selection page appears.

Since we are going with the default language (English (United States)), click Add New.

The Add New Contact Form page appears where you can design your contact form.

Edit the default Form settings:

Click Save.

The new Contact Form widget is created and its shortcode is shown:

Copy and save the shortcode in a handy place (text file on the desktop.)

Go to Appearance > Widgets.

You can see two page sidebars – Main Sidebar and Homepage Sidebar.

The widgets set under Main Sidebar are shown on all pages except the Homepage. By default, the Main Sidebar has the Search Widget. Click the down arrow key of the Search widget and set the title:

Click Save and then Close.

The widgets set under Homepage Sidebar are shown only on the Homepage. Click the down arrow key of the Homepage Sidebar. By default, no widgets are added here.

Drag and drop the Search widget from the Available Widget list to the Homepage Sidebar. Set its title same as done for the Search widget in the Main Sidebar.

Now, drag and drop a Text widget to the Homepage Sidebar.

In the Text widget settings, set the Title: as SignUp and Content: as the shortcode for Contact form created earlier.

Click Save and then Close.

You will see the Search and Subscription widgets on the Homepage:

You will see only the Search widget on other pages:
