    PR is and always has been the unsung hero in the marketing mix. A lot of business, marketing & sales leaders do not get PR. They consider it to be an “add-on” to the list of things after pricing, promotion, and marketing mix has been covered. This is in stark contrast to the Amazon way of thinking championed by Jeff Bezos who has created a culture of starting every initiative by documenting a “Dream PR Story” that the business would wish for. They then work backward from that dream story and reverse engineer the nuts and bolts that go into the initiative.
