Social Media Internship Program [1st Batch: Feb 4, 2012]

 

With more than 1 billion global users, Social Media is making a significant impact in our everyday lives. Organizations world wide are waking up to the opportunity of this revolutionary medium to fulfill various business objectives ranging from Sales, Marketing, CRM, Product Development and Research.However, considering the rapid growth of this medium and the absence of avenues for formal education, there's a constant dearth of talent available to take on various Social Media related jobs.

According to a recent report by Mafoi, 10,000 jobs related to Social Media will be created in 2012. Moreover, a Social Media professional can expect to earn anywhere between Rs 15,000 and Rs 200,000/month. Interestingly, the educational qualification and the skills required to enter into this industry are elementary - a graduate with strong communication and analytical skills is eligible.

The Social Media Internship Program by Digital Vidya can be your entry into the ever expanding world of Social Media. It is a 2-month, work-from-home, live project based and non-paid program designed to enable its participants to develop their competency in Social Media and Creative Writing.

What can you expect?
  • Extensive hands-on training on Social Media Marketing from thought leaders in the Industry. This training is otherwise priced at Rs 30,000/participant.
  • Live Social Media Marketing Assignment (for an online Cricket Community)
  • Certificate of Success
  • You may get an opportunity to get employed by Digital Vidya or leading Corporates/Social Media Agencies in INdia
What are we expecting?
  • 60 hours (2 hours/day) of live project work in a month; will be more skewed (upto 4 hours/day) during the cricket match days. Availability during match days including at odd hours will be essential.
  • Once a week 4-hour (Sat, 10 AM - 2 PM) live Social Media training session at Digital Vidya's office in Dwarka. This will be included in 60 hours of project work.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Strong Written Communicate Skills
  • Passion for Cricket will be preferred
  • Laptop with reliable Internet Connectivity at home
  • Only for students and professionals residing in Delhi/NCR (others are welcome to apply; we will consider for future batches)
