Though everyone has their own personal accounts on social media channels, representing a brand on social media and using it as an advertising channel can be tricky, and is a job best done by experts in the field. Additionally, outsourcing allows you to invest more time to actually think about your brand’s messaging and leave the headache of implementing it to an external agency, which you can hold accountable and trust & that can deliver measurable results.

Now you must be wondering how to actually go about outsourcing?

Following is the cheat code to outsource your digital marketing services:

    1. The first step would be to stop and plan this at your end. Have a basic idea about what you intend to achieve from social media and the kind of budget you have available for the same.
    2. Next, research about the prospective agencies by visiting their websites, Facebook and LinkedIn to find out the kind of work they have done and if these clients are similar in size and offerings to your business.
    3. After you have thoroughly researched and chosen an agency, you need to understand from them the strategy they are planning and ensure that the messaging is aligned – always take the hands-on approach.
    4. Schedule regular discussions with your social media consultant and brainstorm your ideas with them rather than expecting them to come up with something always.
    5. Your social media consultant will probably share some statistics with you regarding how your brand is doing – study these in detail and discuss with them how these can be improved. Don’t forget to reward your agency or consultant on good work done! It’s not an easy job!
