Digital Vidya: What interested you in learning Digital Marketing?
Indrani: Well, I did a course on social media marketing, it was a certification course on Digital Marketing from Digital Vidya. It is definitely a good course. It is a certification course which was required to be done in a few weeks time. The course content and the process was good. The explanation system was really good and especially, when things were needed to be coordinated at a level where everything happens online. It was really good I would say.
Digital Vidya: Which course did you participating in / participated at Digital Vidya?
Indrani: I did professional certification program in social media marketing (CSMMP).
Digital Vidya: Which social media platforms do you use the most and why?
Indrani: I mostly use LinkedIn which is a very good platform, especially when it comes to social media in terms of networking with professionals. So, I really enjoyed networking among professionals in using LinkedIn. I use Facebook more on the personal front.
Digital Vidya: What limitations you find in using Social Media? As per you, what would be the ways to overcome them?
Indrani: Well, I think there are a lot of dimensions of using social media in the best possible way. I think time is the biggest constraint, when it comes to using social media in the best effective way. But if I talk about corporate level, so I would say that this really needs a dedicated resource who can actually devote a lot of time when it comes to social media marketing because it is quite an exhaustive platform and it needs some good amount of time so that we can use it in an optimum way. Most companies till date usually remain confused about it and believe that any marketing or sales person can use it, but it actually needs considerable amount of time which later becomes a restriction or a constraint.
Digital Vidya: Why did you choose Digital Vidya’s Social Media Certification course?
Indrani: To be very honest, two things that really attracted me were firstly, it is approved from Government of India and more specifically, by Government of Delhi. So, this was one of the important reasons, why I opted. Besides, after attending the webinars which are conducted by Digital Vidya from time to time, I am really fond of the shared content in the webinar. It is good and the professionals who are actually hired to do these webinars are good. So, that really prompted me to take up this course from Digital Vidya, besides being one of the pioneers in the area of social media.
Digital Vidya: Please share top 3-5 takeaways from the course you are participating in / participated at Digital Vidya.
Indrani: The case studies were really helpful you know. For example, the course content had number of case studies for each of the social media platforms, be it for LinkedIn or for Facebook. It really helped me to understand about how social media has been used from time to time by various organisations.
No takeaways as such as it is a very small course. It is one of the basic courses, when it comes to any course by Digital Vidya. So, the entire module was based around case studies, which I really found helpful.
Digital Vidya: Please share your experience in learning through online video lessons.
Indrani: The online video lessons are really helpful as you know at times, reading something is more like an audio impact which is always more helpful and that is what the video/audio lessons really provided.
Digital Vidya: What do you like most about Digital Vidya’s programs?
Indrani:
You know the courses are very practical in approach, that is something I really like and my experience with this particular course was very good in terms of case studies covered, exam modules and everything else.
Digital Vidya: Do you suggest any changes to Digital Vidya, so that the value of its courses can be enhanced further?
Indrani: You can make the content little more exhaustive. However, I think I have had a very short glimpse of this course. So particularly in this certification course, I would not be able to recommend in comparison to other certification courses available with Digital Vidya. I’m sure they probably have more detailed content. So, I think nothing in particular when it comes to recommendation.
