Digital Marketing Agency
There are a number of small, mid, and large digital marketing agencies, that serve their clients by offering various kinds of digital marketing services across SEO, SEM, Social Media Marketing, etc.
Even a traditional advertising agency is forced to offer a digital marketing service. If you work in such an agency then you get an opportunity to work with multiple clients and enjoy the variety of work.
However, you are unlikely to build depth as it would be practically impossible to go deeper for a particular client unless you are working for a particular brand.
A brand leveraging Digital Marketing
You can also choose to work for a particular brand or an organization, who are actively leveraging digital marketing for its own growth.
Unlike working for a digital marketing agency, where you enjoy variety, you acquire in-depth expertise when you work for a particular organization.
Digital Marketing Tool/Platform Company
Another opportunity to grow in your career in digital marketing is to work for tool or platform companies such as Google, LinkedIn, Facebook, Adobe, and Salesforce.
The kind of work and associated learning in these kinds of companies are going to vary a lot and will be quite different compared to working at an agency or a brand.

As the title says, a Digital Marketing Head is the senior-most profile in this domain.
In organizations where integrated marketing campaigns exist, Digital Marketing Head will report to the Head of Marketing or CMO, who would be responsible for the overall marketing function.

FAQs
Given the number of questions asked on this blog, I thought of creating a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for your benefit:
Do I need to know technology to be a successful Digital Marketing professional?
This is one of the most frequently asked questions about a career in digital marketing. To be successful as a digital marketer, you don’t need to know technology. However, if you know the basics of HTML, it will be useful.
How important are communication skills in Digital Marketing?
For most positions e.g. Social Media Marketing, SEO, SEM, and Email Marketing, good communication skills especially in written English is necessary. Here’s a list of the top 25 grammatical mistakes one should avoid by HubSpot.
Should I look for an internationally recognized Digital Marketing certification?
Given the fact that this industry is still evolving and hands-on/practical skills are most important, one should not worry too much about the kind of certification. For the same reason, industry certifications like HubSpot Inbound Marketing, and Google AdWords & Analytics don’t carry any significant weight.
Do I need to be a graduate to get a Job in Digital Marketing?
While your educational qualification may play a role in terms of your career in digital marketing growth, especially in large corporations, it’s not a major factor for success herein. Interestingly, brands & agencies who ask for an MBA as a pre-requisite for digital marketing profiles actually end up missing some great talent.
Should I specialize in areas such as SEO/SEM or learn entire Digital Marketing?
At the current stage of the industry and for the reason that various digital marketing avenues contribute to the success of others (e.g. Social Media plays a role in improving SEO rankings), I don’t recommend you start your career in Digital Marketing by looking for specialization.
I am already an SEO expert. Should I learn other aspects of digital marketing?
For the reason mentioned above, a digital marketing professional such as SEO/SEM/Social Media Marketing/Email Marketing expert must broaden his/her horizon to be able to rise to senior job roles in this particular industry.
Is Digital Marketing a good career?

Hello Pradeep,
It was good to know through your blog that the digital marketing industry in a promising one.
I’m somebody who has been on both ends of the offline marketing field, through my tenure at advertising agencies as well as being a client myself. I believe it’ll be beneficial for me to increase my knowledge about digital marketing, but, i’m a little sceptical about your online method of delivering information, rather than a classroom set up. Do you think as learners we’d be able to grasp concepts easily through online classes and webinars??
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks!
Rajita: Glad that this article inspired you to consider digital marketing for career. Surely, with your experience and tenure in advertising, you are very well placed to leverage this opportunity.
I can understand your concern about our ‘instructor-led, online’ delivery format. Does this help?
Thanks for your information. I have few questions. Is there any l limit for getting an entry in digital marketing domain.
I have around 7 years experience in software support domain. And, 1 years experience in SEO executive profile. At this stage/age , can I build a career in digital marketing domain.
Sayan: Glad to know your interest in digital marketing. While there’s no limit in terms of age or experience, given your overall experience, I would not recommend that you apply for entry level role in digital marketing. Instead after acquiring competency across various aspects of digital marketing, you should look for senior level position such as ‘account manager at a digital marketing agency’.
Hope this helps. Let me know if I can be of any further support.
Hi!
I am running a Coaching classes in Ahmedabad for Competitive Exams and am planing to open digital marketing Agency in Ahmedabad After Diwali. So my questions is how I benefited from your course if i decide to do ? I am also ready to provide Classroom coaching in Ahmedabad for Digital Marketing training if i get business ?
Bhadresh: Glad to know your interest in opening digital marketing agency. In fact, a number of our alumni are currently running successful digital marketing agencies and also offering digital marketing services as freelancers. For you to be able to do that, you would surely need to be more committed and serious in participating in our digital marketing master certification course especially doing every assignment and exercise.
Also, given you are already running a business, you should look at creating your own success story in expanding your coaching business while participating in our program. It will build true confidence for you before you start offering digital marketing services to others as an agency owner. We will be glad to explore opportunities to associate with you in future once you are able to demonstrate success in applying what you learn in our course.
I hope this answers your query. Feel free to ask me any further question related to digital marketing or about our course.
I am Marketing Manager in well known Steel Industry. I have more than 10 Years rich experience in traditional marketing. I get good package but now I want to go with Digital Marketing. So could please let me know that what’s scope of this program and is it right to quit my current job and get into the new field.
Good to know your interest in learning digital marketing. Interestingly, 25% of digital marketing course participants have 10+ years of experience and normally come from traditional sales & marketing background. Given your years of experience, it doesn’t make sense to consider switching to digital marketing profile. However, given large organizations and high growth startups require senior marketing professionals to manage integrated (i.e. traditional + digital) marketing campaigns, you should look for such roles after acquiring digital marketing skills.
I’ve recently authored an article to address this question about the opportunity of learning digital marketing for various profiles. Check it out at https://www.digitalvidya.com/blog/blog/why-should-i-do-a-digital-marketing-course/
Can i know the fees of this course ?
Is this a certification or a course ? If its certification then , which is the certifying body ? Is it recognised in the Corporate world?
Vivek: The fee for CDMM (Certified Digital Marketing Master) program is Rs 49,900 (+ser tax). It’s an instructor-led, online course. After the completion of the course, participants need to appear for an examination conducted by Vskills (a Govt. of India initiative). After passing the exam, participant gets certified jointly by Digital Vidya & Vskills. CDMM is industry’s most popular and industry-recognized digital marketing certification program in India.
Hope this answers your query? Let me know if you have any further query for me.
Hi,
I’m currently pursuing MBA and specializing in Marketing. While there is much hype about the rise of Digital Marketing in the recent times.. How good is it a good career path for an MBA? And, which profile will best suit my qualifications?
Vishwajeet: Digital Marketing is one of the core skills for anyone in marketing industry. As an MBA, you must acquire this asap. Rather than thinking of specialisation at this stage, learn entire spectrum of digital marketing so that you can be given senior marketing profiles early in your career.
Sir, I am currently working as a salesperson in a startup company. Though I have 3.5 years of experience, I am struggling with promotion and am unable to meet my targets. How can I sharpen my sales skills wth a digital marketing course? What are the prospects?
Good question Ayush. I suggest that you check this another article about the opportunity of learning digital marketing for various profiles including sales professional like you:
https://www.digitalvidya.com/blog/blog/why-should-i-do-a-digital-marketing-course/
i have been working in a leading finance company as a branch manager and have experience of around 12 years in finance and industrial marketing , would you recommend this course for me and will you be providing placement services and what are the growth prospects
Abhijit: As a marketing professional, you don’t have choice to not acquire digital marketing skills. Given marketing is becoming truly integrated (i.e. offline + online), you should look at senior marketing roles in which your previous marketing experience (preferably your domain expertise as well) can be leveraged along with newly acquired digital marketing skills.
For the same reason, it’s relatively difficult for us to provide you direct placement support. However, the skills (e.g. how to leverage your presence on platforms such as LinkedIn) you will learn in our digital marketing program along with your previous experience should help you accelerate your career compared to your peers who have not learnt digital marketing. I also suggest you to check this article about the opportunity of digital marketing for professionals with significant non-digital marketing experience:

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any further specific question for me.
i am a student of b.tech mechanical engineering and i am about to complete my 4th year. what are the courses suitable for me and the career options?

Rahul: Thanks for sharing about your background. While it’s very difficult to quantify about salary amount, acquiring digital marketing skills can surely help you accelerate your career growth including getting online retail related opportunities. In my view, if you want to differentiate among your peers and want to grow ahead of the curve in retail industry, digital marketing is one of the core skills.
Does this help? Let me know if you’ve any specific query.
I am a professional in TV advertising. Is it time to shift to online because there is a dip in the return on investments. Please suggest
Neha: Glad to know your interest in learning digital marketing. I wouldn’t say you should think about shifting from TV Advertising to Online Advertising unless you’ve insignificant experience (i.e. less than 2 years), which you can let go. If you have higher experience then you can consider growing yourself as an integrated marketing professional (i.e. digital + tv) as well.
I’m approaching my final year of B.E.Comps from Mumbai University and interested in making a career in digital marketing . Would it be a good career choice once I graduate in 2017 to work for some organisation as a digital marketing professional since I’m not much in to coding ? Do you have students from engineering background who have acquired satisfactory placement in digital marketing through your certifications ? In case I plan to move to Middle East (Dubai) after graduation , will I be able to get a Digital Marketing expert job there with a satisfactory package ? Awaiting your reply .
Devam: Glad to know your interest in building career in digital marketing. If you are not interested in coding side, surely digital marketing is a great career choice. Globally, good % of digital marketing professionals come from engineering background including myself. Even in our digital marketing certification program, around 15% of participants are engineers. Interestingly, UAE/Dubai is a great market for digital marketing professionals and after India, we get maximum participation from Dubai. Some of our participants, who’d done digital marketing training with us in India have also moved to Dubai. Here’s an interview of our alumni:

Gautam: As I’ve shared multiple times earlier, digital marketing is one of the core skills for any student or professional who’s into Management/Marketing. While it’s difficult to quantify about salary jump as it’s a function of multiple parameters, you can surely see different growth trajectory (compared to your peers) on acquiring digital marketing.
MBA degree is not required (though preferred) to be a successful digital marketing professional. Interestingly, a good % of digital marketing professionals come from IT/Tech/Engg background including myself :).
Hope this helps. Let me know if I can be of any further support.
I am an S&M professional with experience in branding side of corporate business cycle. This course looks fascinating but I want to know how much helpful it will for prof. Like me wit 6-7 yrs of wrk experience into engineer and branding.
Neha: As I’ve shared earlier, digital marketing is one of the key skills expected from anyone in Sales & Marketing. At your level of experience, you can look forward to much higher growth in your career compared to your peers after you’ve been through our digital marketing certification course.
Hi sir i had a question. 5years frm now how it would be digital marketing career?
Aj: While 5 years is a long time regarding future of digital marketing industry, it’s only going to become bigger. I doubt if we will be asking questions such as ‘should I learn digital marketing?’. While there would be more career opportunities in digital marketing in 5 years from now, the early mover advantage will not exist.
Hope this helps!
Hello sir,I am Amiya I want to know from you that exactly how much of time it will take to learn entire thing about digital marketing if someone wants to start his career in digital marketing. Sir,I want to start my career in freelancing site as a digital marketing freelancer so please suggest me how to learn digital marketing through online.
Amiyaranjan: In our experience, if someone wants to master various aspects of digital marketing especially SEO, SEM, Social Media Marketing, Email Marketing, Inbound Marketing & Web Analytics, 3-6 months (with around 4-8 hours/week) of comprehensive course is required. That’s how we’ve designed CDMM program.
Freelancing in digital marketing is a great opportunity and a % of our participants do that after the program.
Btw, I am assuming that you’ve signed up for our upcoming Free online Digital Marketing for Career & Business Growth orientation session at https://www.digitalvidya.com/blog/dmo/.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you’ve any more query for me.
Thank for ur reply sir, yes I have signed up but my doubt is if someone is learning from online session, can a candidate learn everything like SEO,SEM,social Media Marketing,Email Marketing,Inbound Marketing & Web analytics from online without doing CDMM program ?
You are welcome Amiya! Absolutely yes; you will be able to learn everything in digital marketing online. We’ve been successfully doing online programs since 2012. Hope this helps. Let me know if you’ve any other query for me.
Hii.. this z very inspiring article. M working as Makrketing Manaager in IT comp. having 4 yrs of experience. I wanted to know whether digital marketing involves any technical work to do as i dnt havng any technical background. I want to switch in DM but will it afftect my current role??
Ruchi: Glad that you found this article useful. Considering your current profile including industry, it’s a great time and opportunity to accelerate your career growth by acquiring digital marketing skills. You don’t need to know technology at all to be a successful digital marketing professional. Let me know if I can be of any further support.
Hi, I am currently working as a Senior SEO Executive. However, I want to learn more about social media marketing, SEO, content curation, PPC, etc. I want some certification course that has international recognition as well. How much salary can I get at the maximum?
Deepshika: Your thought process to expand your profile from an SEO executive to a digital marketing professional is great and timings are perfect. While it’s difficult to put a number to the salary, you can surely expect a great shift. You will be able to master various aspects of digital marketing including Social Media, Search Engine Marketing/PPC, Email Marketing, Inbound Marketing, Web Analytics through the CDMM program. It will also help you prepare for following certifications:
a.) Google Adwords, Analytics and Mobile Adv certifications
b.) Hubspot Inbound Marketing Certification
c.) Facebook Blueprint Certifications
Hope this answers your query. Let me know if I can support you in other way to be a successful digital marketing professional.
Dear Pradeep, Currently I am working with one of the leading bank as an ASM with experience of more than 5 years and looking forward to switch to digital marketing domain. could you please guide me how this course can help me to get opportunity in this domain and what all are the platform where I can approach for job opportunity in digital marketing field after successfully completing this certification.
Regards,
Mahendra
Mahendra: Glad to know your interest in digital marketing. I recommend that you check this article about the opportunity of digital marketing career for various professionals including sales:
https://www.digitalvidya.com/blog/blog/why-should-i-do-a-digital-marketing-course/
Hope this helps. Let me know if you’ve any further query related to the opportunity of building a career in digital marketing.
I have no back ground of computer and IT field, very few knowlede of computer field.
Can i do it ? or may i get difficulty to learn the course ?
Ashish: Absolutely not. You don’t need to come from IT background or know technology at all to be successful in digital marketing.
Hi, I have been working as b.tech exec and have 6 years of experience in maintenance/service industry. I want to change my career path and want to do a full course on digital marketing. What is the prospect? Which institute I can go for? I live in Bangalore..
Karan: Good to know your interest in learning digital marketing. I am not able to understand what you mean by ‘working as b.tech executive’. Can you please share more details about your current profile?
Hi!
I have 6 years of experience in the content industry, mainly dealing with education and recruitment. But I have always been interested in advertising and marketing. I wanted advice on:
– Whether taking the course from Digital Vidya will help me break in to the digital marketing industry?
– How much will not having direct working experience in marketing be an issue when it comes to getting employed or the compensation I will receive?
– And what could I do to compensate for the lack of direct experience?
– Also, do these digital marketing courses cover advertising (especially, the creative aspect of marketing)?
I worked on many unofficial advertising campaigns within the companies I worked with, with music and art work, and they were quite successful (I understand this is not the same as working in advertising and marketing but I just wanted to add some background).
Any advice from you will be helpful.
Thank you.
Sharjes: Thanks for asking your queries here. It was good interacting with you during the orientation session. As I’d mentioned, considering your profile and background, you are very well placed to accelerate your career growth (both in terms of kind of kind of responsibilities and compensation you can expect). My only advise to you is to ensure that you do EVERY assignment given to you in the course with full commitment and rigor.
And yes, we cover advertising (in online context) in depth. Hope this helps!
hello,
i have done my graduation in 2014, after that i started prerparing for entrence exam but till now i am not able to clr any exam. Now i am planing to make career in DIGITAL MARKETING, what is the scope of digital marketing ? ,what about career growth, payscale in digitak marketing?. I am from non tech background & i have less idea about this field.
Vivek: As you read from this article, this is the best time to be part of digital marketing industry. The advantages offered by this industry in terms of kinds of profiles, salaries and future prospects are unmatched. Interestingly, education qualification is not a constraint in this industry. As long as you are passionate to learn, this industry is a great place to build rewarding career. Hope this helps.
Sir I am a sales professional having of about 3 yrs of total working experience with no information about digital marketing in real but really very interested in that just wanted to ask does your master certification teach us the very basics in digital marketing.
Chirag: Surely, you don’t need to know anything before joining our CDMM program. Over a period of 6-month, our digital marketing certification program will ensure that you’ve mastered the skills required to build/accelerate a career in digital marketing.
As I am already a working pro in sales and earning about 20k pm from last one year with overall exp of 3 yrs , do you think I can make something near to that after completing my CDMM, or I have to start from the basic salary( as fresher) in Digital marketing industry?
Chirag: With your background and years of experience, I see 2 clear opportunities of learning digital marketing:
a.) If you want to grow in your career as a sales professional, acquiring digital marketing skills will help you do that and differentiate yourself among your peers.
b.) You may be able to get a job with same/similar salary as a digital marketing professional and change your profile from sales to digital marketing. In long term, the kind of growth you can expect as a digital marketing professional would be much better than a sales professional.
Hope this helps.
Thank you very much….This will help me.
Hi,
Currently I am a Software Developer. I want to switch in Digital Marketing.
So, please tell how can I proceed.
Also have 4 years of experience in IT industry.
Shipra: With 4 years of experience in IT industry, it doesn’t make sense to position yourself as a fresher in digital marketing. At the same time, if you want to grow yourself faster in career, digital marketing skills will help you differentiate among peers in IT industry as you would be able to conceptualize and strategize more efficient, scalable and cusotmer-centric solutions if you know digital media. Other opportunities (e.g. freelancing, realizing entrepreneurial dreams etc) are mentioned in the article I shared.
Shipra: I am not sure how much experience you’ve as a software developer. I suggest that you check this other article, which should answer your question about the opportunity of digital marketing for an IT professional like you: https://www.digitalvidya.com/blog/blog/why-should-i-do-a-digital-marketing-course/
Let me know if you’ve any other question for me.
Hi Pradeep.
Thanks for sharing the link with me, it has very good stats and details on the future of DM.
Although i am in to Email campaigns by profession, i am very keen to shape in to other online marketing techniques (SEO , SMM), now the question is in the course would you practically show us the steps to guide our website in to google analytic and techniques used to improve the page rankings..
Sanjay: Glad that you found the information useful. Good to know your interest in expanding your knowledge in digital marketing. Yes, CDMM certification is completely practical program. Interestingly, around 10% of our participant base represent digital marketing professionals like you who want to expand their skill set to accelerate their career growth. Hope this help? All the best!
Hi Pradeep,
I have over 25 years of experience in sales, marketing, product development etc in leading multi-nationals. What can I expect out of CDMM.
Ramadas: Glad to know about your interest and openness to learn digital marketing. As you would have observed, any professional who’s connected with Marketing, Sales (including BD) & Product Management, digital marketing is one of the key skills required to grow. For e.g., a senior marketing leader today is expected to manage large integrated marketing campaigns (which involves both traditional and digital mediums). Whether they manage it internally (through in-house teams) or externally (i.e. through agencies), their own understanding of digital marketing including their role in overall digital marketing strategy, their own understanding of digital marketing is critical.
To share with you, over 25% of our CDMM participants have 10+ years or professional experience across various profiles including sales, marketing, IT.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you’ve any further query for me.
Dear Mr Chopra,
Greetings to you!!!!
Will digital marketing certification help in my current job profile. I am working for a bank as Relationship Manager and I am also pursuing PGDM in Marketing.
Please suggest
Prem: Glad to know your interest in learning digital marketing for growing in your career. Can you please share how many years of professional experience you’ve? Also, in your current profile as a relationship manager, are you accountable for bringing revenue for your bank?
On the other hand, given you are pursuing PGDM in marketing, ‘digital marketing’ is surely one of the key skills you should look at to grow as a marketing professional. I am sharing this based on our experience with various MBA candidates including from IIMs.
I invite you to join us in our upcoming orientation session on Digital Marketing for Career & Business Growth. It’s online and scheduled for July 7th (Wed) from 3-4 PM.
hello sir ,
i secured BBA Degree with Marketing specealisation from Savitribai Phule University pune.with 63.87 aggregate. What kind of courses should i do to make career in digital marketing
Kedari: Glad to know your interest in learning digital marketing. As mentioned in this article, there’s huge demand for people at all levels in digital marketing. Given your educational background, it’s one of the best times for you to build career in this fast growing industry. You should do CDMM program to build mastery across various facets of digital marketing for a great beginning and future growth in digital marketing industry. Hope this helps? Let me know if you’ve any further query for me.
Great article Pradeep. Will this career opportunity continue to remain in future or it’s a short term bubble ?
Glad that you found it useful. Great question and the same is being asked multiple times to us. Given the fact that number of users and amount of time spent by them on digital medium is only going to grow, the opportunity of digital marketing for career & business is only going to expand. At some point in time in future, the rate of growth will slow down but it will still be growing. IT industry faced similar situation. Hope this answered your query?
Hi,
Thanks for providing information on DM.
Can you please provide the detailed curriculum and suggest if there is instalment option or Credit Card payment option available.
You are welcome Lavkush. You can find complete details about CDMM curriculum through our program document available at https://www.digitalvidya.com/blog/downloads/CDMM.pdf.
Yes, you’ve an option to pay in installments; I’ve asked my colleague to share details with you and support you regarding your registration and participation. Let me know if you’ve any further query for me.
Nice tips to follow as an aspiring digital marketer. Thanks. I have even attended a webinar of Pradeep sir. It was quite informational.
Mustafa: Glad that you found this article on digital marketing careers useful. Thanks for your kind words about the Webinar as well.
Thank you for such a detailed insight.I would like to know how can one work as a freelancer at entry level.
You are welcome Harinder. Given digital marketing can be done from a remote place, Work from Home is one of the opportunities of digital marketing. Once you’ve acquired digital marketing skills, you can start offering the same as a service to other organizations. Please note that for you to be a successful freelancer, your own understanding of level of digital marketing has to be really high.
As you would have noticed, we do a specialization module on ‘selling digital marketing service as a freelancer’ as part of our CDMM Program. Also, if you search for various freelance sites, ‘digital marketing’ will be one of the prominent categories.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you’ve any follow up query for me.
sir I want to make a carrier in digital marketing but after reading your article ,I’m little bit worried because my communication skills is below average .so please suggest me that it is best option for me to join digital marketing or not ?
Mukesh: Glad to know your interest in digital marketing. From your comment, it looks like that you’ve at least average level communication skills. As long as you are committed and passionate about building career in digital marketing and have average communication skills, you are ready to be part of this growing industry. Hope this helps. Let me know if you’ve any specific query for me.
Hi Pradeep,
Wishing you a great day ahead.
My name is Vaishak, and I am working as a software engineer in Chennai. I have been in Software for 4 years, and to be honest, I haven’t really enjoyed it at all.
I got the idea to start a cooking website (as cooking was one of my passions), and i started it a year back. That was how I actually came to know about this field of digital marketing. Since then, I have always wanted to work in digital marketing.
Now, in your comments, I know you have responded to this similar question by telling that, going in as a fresher isn’t that great.
So, How can I move to an intermediate position in Digital marketing?
I believe moving and starting out again is worth it considering that, I can get to work in something I like.
But its not easy when you are 27, and earning about 28k in hand.
How can I start out and get into this field. I do agree that starting as a fresher is going to be tough for me psychologically, but what are the other ways I can bridge the gap.
I wont expect a 28k to start with, even 23-25k would be still good for me because, I can still improve my skill in the long run. Please share your opinion in this matter. I would love to hear from you.
Thanking you
Regards
Vaishak S .
Vaishak: Glad to know your interest in building career in digital marketing. Considering your interest and background, I can think of following opportunities of acquiring digital marketing skills for you:
1.) Realize your passion of building business around cooking: For any business today, digital marketing is one of the core skills to build brand or acquire customers.
2.) Career in Digital Marketing: With 4 years of experience in IT and with good communication skills, it’s not unrealistic to demand Rs 3 Lacs package after you’ve learnt digital marketing in-depth. Especially if you apply for digital marketing role (which requires some technical aspects, e.g. if marketing automation is part of digital marketing profile) in an IT industry (mid to large companies), your experience & domain expertise will be appreciated and you can look at accelerating your career growth and yet do the job of your interest in digital media.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you’ve any specific query.
Hi Pradeep,
Given i am a complete fresher in this field, after having done the course rigorously, will it be unrealistic to expect a salary around 6 lacs p.a?
Mohan: The salary you get as a fresher in digital marketing industry is a function of various parameters especially your educational background and your understanding of digital marketing. For e.g., an MBA from a reputed institution gets a very high salary in high growth startups or large corporations including digital marketing agencies for digital marketing role.
This is the vast information I have ever read about digital marketing.. thank u sir
You are welcome Hitendra!
What is the future scope of a digital marketing analyst?
Mohit: With increasing amount of information and data, the role of digital marketing analyst will continue to be important for any organization who’s seriously doing digital marketing. Accordingly, there’s a great future for this role.
Hello sir,
Thank You very much for such a great information.
I am Mechanical Engineer.
So I do need any other computer software course to enter in digital marketing?
Ravi: You don’t need to do any software course for a successful career in digital media. Actually, you don’t even need to be an engineer. As long as you are committed & passionate and have reasonably good communication skills, you are ready to become a successful digital marketing professional.
Hi,
How much(in USD)is the Certified Digital Marketing Master(CDMM)Course and what’s the duration of the course?
Olufemi: Glad to know your interest. The duration of the CDMM course is 6 months and the fee in USD is ~850.
sir, is there any requirement for degree/diploma to get the job in digital marketing?
Sonam: No, you don’t require any degree/diploma for a job in digital marketing. Educational qualification is not a constraint for a rewarding career in this industry.

Plss reply me feel free as soon as possible.
Madhuri: Glad to know your interest in digital marketing. Given you already have 6 years experience in Customer Service, I would not recommend you to consider switching to digital marketing directly as you will be considered a fresher.
You should look for profiles in which your existing experience is appreciated and digital marketing has an important role. For e.g. Social CRM (i.e. CRM profile with Social Media requirement) could be one such profile. Inbound Sales may also work well.
For you to master digital marketing in-depth, you should look at our flagship CDMM program.
Hello sir,
Im a graduate from commerce stream with no work experience. What are the steps required to b taken to build a career in digital marketing? And what kind of job opportunities i can expect after doing this course with you.
Richa: As shared in this article, education qualification is not a constraint for a rewarding career in this industry. In most cases, you normally begin your journey as a digital marketing executive in a brand or an agency.
Sir
I’m Akhilesh from Delhi.Presently I’m in defence, earning 60k per month and likely to hang my boot of this uniform job in Jun 18. Its hounding may day and night that ,what i would do after Jun 18. One of my friend suggested me for digital marketing course. I’m a MBA graduate in IT specialisation (Correspondence) with not much more skill in IT. Now my query is:-

kindly address my query,
waiting in reply,
regards,
Akhilesh
Hi Akhilesh,
Really happy to know your interest in digital marketing. Considering your years of experience, I would not recommend you to look for a job in digital marketing after you do a course in digital marketing as you will still be a fresher in digital marketing. However, as I’ve shared in this article (https://www.digitalvidya.com/blog/blog/why-should-i-do-a-digital-marketing-course/), you can consider following opportunities on acquiring digital marketing skills:
a.) Offering digital marketing service as freelancer
b.) Realize your entrepreneurial dreams
c.) Make money through affiliate marketing
Hope this answer your queries.
Best wishes,
Pradeep
Hello Sir ,
I am a 2011 passout b.tech graduate i have 2 years of experince in web development. But right now i am jobless because i have no interest in coding. I want to make career in digital marketing . Am I eligible for this course.please help me …
Nishant: Given your professional experience and interest, digital marketing is surely one of the best options to build a rewarding career. Yes, you are absolutely eligible and ready to be part of this exciting journey with us. All the best!
Hi Pradeep. Before I proceed with the questions I have, I want to appreciate the way you are answering everybody’s questions or doubts. I looked through the complete blog to see if I can find an answer for my questions from previous blogs. While I found some of my questions answered I still have following questions.
1) I have 10 years of work ex, out of which ~5 yrs into Order to cash – Acconts receivable domain, and another 5 years into process excellence. Currently I am working as a Black Belt – Process excellence (Manager level). My core job profile includes Problem solving, data analysis, root cause analysis, finding optimized solutions for business problems, identifying problems in the process my self and show solution etc., considering all this, what kind of a digital marketing job should I choose, and what level is suitable for me looking at my stage/age?
2) Will they consider my experience?
3) What are the best courses / certifications that I should go for, based on the profile you are suggesting in my 1st question?
Anand: Thanks for your kind words. Since all of your questions are related, I will answer them together:
Considering your experience and profile, I would not recommend you to learn digital marketing to position yourself as a digital marketer as you will still be considered a fresher.
Offering digital marketing services as a freelancer or realizing your entrepreneurial dream (if you have) could be potential reasons for you to acquire digital marketing skills. Else I would advise you to learn data analytics, which is closer to your experience and expertise. Hope this helps.
Hi, I’m planning to pursue MBA in a distance learning format. While searching for the specializations amongst HR, Marketing, Finance etc. I came across an option to pursue MBA in digital marketing. Could you share exactly about MBA in digital marketing and it’s scope for career prospects?
Harsimran: Glad to know your interest in learning digital marketing. In our experience, none of the educational institutions is able to do justice in offering a digital marketing program as all of them presence an academic (vs industry relevant) and theoretical (vs practical) sides of digital marketing. Accordingly, I would not recommend an MBA in Digital Marketing.
To answer your query in depth, we recently created a blog post: https://www.digitalvidya.com/blog/blog/mba-digital-marketing-vs-certification/
Hope this helps. All the best!
Sir I’m first year B.sc student and I want to learn digital marketing so that I can earn money …….so my questions is that will it help me to earn money at the same time of my graduation studies if yes then how?????
Hi Anant,
Glad to see your interest in Digital Marketing. While pursuing your graduation you can start working as a full-time job / Internship in digital marketing. Since there is a huge demand for digital marketing professionals, if you have enough knowledge in this field you can easily get a job & improve your career growth.
Apart from this, you can also earn as a Digital Marketing Freelancer where you can offer these services & earn money from your home. Some freelancing websites offering digital marketing freelance jobs are elance, freelancer, Guru, People per hour.
Hope this helps. All the best!!
Hi,
I m from engineering background. I have 4.5 years of IT exp in manual testing domain. But I have a career gap of 5+ years. Its bit difficult to get back to my testing domain as I need to learn automation. So I m looking for a change in domain . Is it good to switch to digital marketing at this point. ? My IT exp helps me in any way if I seek job in DM. I.e., Can I join as experienced candidate? What courses to join.preferably online.? Please guide me in this regard.
Hi Ashwini,

There are multiple options you can opt for in digital marketing : Start your job/Internship, Start your own blog & become an entrepreneur, start working as a freelancer.
Attend free demo session conducted by digital vidya where you will learn how online marketing can help to grow your career or business growth : https://www.digitalvidya.com/blog/dmo/
Hope this helps!!
Thank you so much!
How the digital marketing scope is changing in 2017? Which are the hottest jobs right now?
HI Shikha,
As I have shared multiple times due to less skilled digital marketers, demand for digital marketing professionals is increasing. Some best digital marketing jobs are:
1) Content Marketing
2) Digital Strategist
3) Digital Community Manager
4) Email Marketing Specialist
Being a diploma student in Civil,, can i look forward to digital marketing for a better and wealthy career ?
Sure Ronny. Digital Marketing is a great career opportunity for anyone who’s passionate and serious about it.
Sir,Greetings of theday..
I am a BBA graduate and thinking to opt for DM..
I am bit confused about two or three points related to the course.. Please help me with the same.
1: Should i opt and complete MBA first before DM course to boost up my career? I mean who will be preferred more A graduate with certificate in DM or a Postgraduate with certificate in DM?
2: Which will be the best one to learn from all?
SEO,SMM,E-MAIL MARKETING, MOBILE MARKETING.. should i go for specialization or just a glimpse of all will do?
Please help me with this…
Shivam: Glad to know your interest. Here are my answers:
a.) The earlier you acquire digital marketing skills, the better chances you’ve to build rewarding career even if you choose to do MBA. I am sharing this with our experience with students from across all backgrounds including IIM graduates.
b.) Even if you plan to specialize, you must learn entire spectrum of digital marketing else you will be left behind.
Hope this helps.
Thank you for your guidance sir.. I have been looking for your reply since i posted my question.. Never thought it would be so quick.. Anyways thanks for helping you have helped me a way long to snap out of my confusion… ?
You are welcome Shivam. Have a great career ahead!
pradeep, we have a family owned SME. i handle the marketing. we just got our website update, am handling the fb page and insta and other social mediums for our enterprise. i have no marketing background. the right content, the right adwords, SEOs, are challenging … because we want to use the social medium to generate business… how will this course help me from business generating point of view and my understanding of these tools in a better way. waiting for your response.thanks
Thanks Deepa for sharing your background and objective. Considering you are managing an SME and you are looking for growing your business (vs just creating visibility), I would advise you to not limit your efforts to Social Media especially Facebook Page as FB Page has very limited value today. Areas such as SEM, SEO (for long term), Email Marketing and Inbound Marketing can take your business forward much faster.
This program will help you acquire relevant skills across all of these areas to make the desired impact in your revenue growth.
You don’t need to have marketing background to be able to successfully leverage digital marketing as long as you’ve commitment to grow your business.
Hope this helps.
Hi Pradeep,
I have been associated with digital marketing world for nearly about 7 years now during my professional career. I am well versed with all SEO,SEM,SMM,Email marketing, inbound/outbound marketing etc terms and have engaged clients from time to time during the sales cycle. But i do want to have in-depth knowledge and professional execution of all these. can CDMM Course help me? please give me some more details about this course.
Thanks,
Rinki
Rinki: Thanks for sharing your background and glad to know about your interest. If you’ve been practicing all of the mentioned areas (i.e. SEO, SMM, SEM etc) since many years then I would not recommend CDMM program for you. I would advise you to consider our Mobile App Marketing Master Certification: https://www.digitalvidya.com/blog/mobile-marketing/
If you’ve only basic practical knowledge of these areas and you want to learn in-depth and also acquire industry-recognized certification for your career growth, you can surely consider CDMM program.
Does this help?
Hello sir,
I m hrishikesh from pune . Recenly i came to know about the opportunities in dm …i have done mba in finance in 2013 …but i am really interested in pusueing my career in the field of digital marketing as i am not interested in doing job in bpo which i am doing rite now and i need a field where i can challange my self with a great opportunity for a growth…
I really want to do my career in dm do u think it will be a good career for me and which cource shall i opt for …
Plz reply sir …thanks in advace
Hrishikesh: Glad to know your interest in Digital Marketing career. I don’t know how many years of experience you’ve. If it’s less than 2 years, you can consider switching to digital marketing on acquiring digital marketing skills.
However, if your experience is considerable, I would not recommend you to position yourself as a digital marketing professional immediately after learning digital marketing as you would be considered a fresher. Instead, you should start doing freelancing in digital marketing to gain practical experience and then over a period of time think about switching to digital marketing, preferably in Financial sector as you would be able to leverage your work experience and education.
Also, do check this article about the benefits of doing a digital marketing course for various profiles: https://www.digitalvidya.com/blog/blog/why-should-i-do-a-digital-marketing-course/
Hope this helps. All the best!

I would recommend that you check this article, which lists the opportunity of doing a digital marketing course for IT professionals: https://www.digitalvidya.com/blog/blog/why-should-i-do-a-digital-marketing-course/

Hi I have worked in support domain for 2.5 years can I switch to digital marketing now and if so should I opt for entry level ??
Simbhu: Considering your experience is not too much, you can look at learning digital marketing to switch your profile. Ensure that you do every Assignment, Exercise and Project you get in the CDMM program so that you can demonstrate your skills in digital marketing. All the best!
Dear Pradeep,
It is a very informative and encouraging blog you have in here. I m Sumit, associated with a travel company. I wanted to know that suppose i enroll myself from gurgaon and some time later shift to kolkata, can i still continue the course online from anywhere. Also for certifications, are there some tests, and does one need to clear these tests for the certificate, or one gets the certification on completing the module. Basically i m not that concerned with certificates all i want to master the knowledge, so that i can use it to my benefit. Regards
Sumit: Find below answers to your queries-
a.) Yes, you can attend the course from anywhere in the world.
b.) There are 3 types of certifications:
– Course completion certificates: You get from Digital Vidya
– CDMM Certification: Joint certification by Digital Vidya and Vskills. After taking a 1 hour test. Details available at https://www.digitalvidya.com/blog/digital-marketing/
– Other industry certifications (e.g. Google AdWords, Analytics, Hubspot etc): Appear online.
As you rightly said, the focus should be acquiring skills. Certifications will happen in the process :).
All the best!
Hello sir,

I’m going to opt marketing as specialisation in my MBA. I have already made up my mind as a career in digital marketing. I have done a professional certificate program on digital marketing, social media marketing and E-commerce provide from Wharton school of the university of pennsylvania and going to do another program on SEO,but now i have being in doubt in making DM as career because of low payscale in India.
Can you guide me what should i do ?
Vishal: Any MBA, who’s looking at building career in Marketing has no option but to acquire digital marketing skills. There’s a huge range of salaries in digital and it’s a function of a number of parameters including the kind of company you join. As shared in the below article, you should look at building skills across all areas of digital marketing vs specific areas:

Hope this helps. All the best!
Hey Pradeep.
I have just passed +2 medical and I was not really interested enough to pursue with medical science as a career.
I have read most of the comments and my question is quite similar yet different.
Is it realistic of me to think that I can get a job after completing your flagship course and pursue a career in digital marketing?
P.S.- I’m currently working on a personal project based on social media marketing and email marketing.
Anmol: Interesting and glad to know your interest in digital marketing. Yes, it’s surely possible to build a rewarding career in digital marketing. Given you are already working on Social Media and Email Marketing, you are positioned even better.
All the best!
I’m 28 year old. I’m a graduate in mechanical engineering. I had to quit my job because of health reasons. currently I’m working in bpo. Am I eligible to do digital marketing course. if I do this course, will I be hired by companies as a fresher. is my age gonna be a problem. Waiting for your reply
Charlie: Glad to know your interest in Digital Marketing. I don’t know how many years of experience you’ve. If it’s less than 3 years, you can consider switching to digital marketing on acquiring digital marketing skills.
However, if your experience is considerable, I would not recommend you to position yourself as a digital marketing professional immediately after learning digital marketing as you would be considered a fresher. Instead, you should start doing freelancing in digital marketing to gain practical experience and then over a period of time, you can think about switching to digital marketing, preferably in BPO (similar sector) as you would be able to leverage your work experience and education.
Also, do check this article about the benefits of doing a digital marketing course for various profiles: https://www.digitalvidya.com/blog/blog/why-should-i-do-a-digital-marketing-course/
Did this help?
Hello Pradeep Sir,
My name is Raunak and I have done B.Tech in Computers. I have been working as a Technical support Engineer since last 3 years.
Would it be a right decision to start a career in Digital Marketing or should I stick to the same Domain?
I was looking for a career alternative because I can’t see much Growth in Technical support Domain and my job timings are based on US time Zone.
My second question is : If I choose to go into Digital Marketing world, would I have to do an MBA as well for growth in this field ?
Raunak: Please see my recent response to Charlie. Additionally, in your case, I would suggest you look for techno-marketing profiles as ‘marketing technology’ is a growing field.
No, you don’t require an MBA to build a career in Digital Marketing.
Hello sir i have completed my b.com and my mats is very week i want to know is mba in digital markeeting is good for me. I have very good communication skills and problem understanding and problem solving skills. I like communication and i am very good in it. Like making people understand about product or something
Sourav: Great to know your interest. ‘Maths’ is no a requirement for a career in digital. Communication Skills (which is your strength) is far more important and thus an opportunity for you.
I strongly recommend Digital Marketing career for you. All the best!

Hi Pradeep,
Super informative article, cleared up a lot of concerns I had, however it would be great if you could clarify the following concerns:
1) I graduated in 2015 and for the past year have worked for an outsourcing company, specifically a private equity client where the job involved keeping track of portfolio companies’ and their competitors’ digital marketing strategies, so majorly focused on analysis. I wanted to know if this experience would be relevant to potential employers in this field ?
2) I am currently earning about 4.2 lpa, my concern was that will I have difficulty getting placed or getting a hike due to high current salary relative to average salaries offered in DM at this level of work ex?
3) Can you speak a little bit more on freelancing, Like how much experience is normally sufficient to gain enough knowledge to become a freelancer ? How difficult is it to get clients as a freelancer ? How much is an average freelancer currently making in this field ?
Hi Prateek,
We are glad you liked the article, let me clarify your doubts here:
1. You have almost 2 years of work-ex, and that too related to Digital Marketing, esp Competitive analysis, which is a very critical area for businesses. It’s totally relevant. You got to do a lot of such analysis when you are running various campaigns into Digital, even while measuring ROI, you need to do a lot of cross channel competitive studies.
2. 4.2 is not a high salary, it’s an average salary for 2 years work experience person. So do not worry here.
3. Freelancing is not the function of experience in years, but it is a function of your portfolio, what all kind of Skills you have, what all kind of work you have done, and what you can showcase in your profile which others can see and trust. And salary totally depends on how much you can deliver. Out of all most important and foundation aspect is your skills. How much you know, and how can you deliver the projects. And it’s a long process, at time it takes year or so even you have skills to get projects, build profile and get regular work.
I see your queries are very genuine and I am sure our CDMM course would contribute a lot to you in all of the above aspects.
I hope I am able to help you here.
Thanks
Best wishes,
Deepesh
You are welcome Prateek. Here are my answers:
1.) Your experience will be valuable. I would recommend that you should look for Digital Marketing related profiles in Consulting Firms, B2B Tech Firms or platform companies (e.g. Adobe, Fb, Google, Li etc).
2.) The above choices will take care of your salary concern.
3.) There are a number of variables including the kind of company you want to serve and the services you want to offer (e.g. only SEO vs a combination of SEO & SEM). You may do as an individual or a group of people. It’s difficult to predict the outcome, especially for your 1st engagement. There are a number of sites (e.g. Upwork) where you can find a number of projects. In addition, you would definltely want to use your own network for initial engagements. My only suggestion is to ensure that you do EVERY Assignment given to you in the course to build mastery in the field and gain sufficient confidence to delight your customers.
Hope this helps. All the best!
Hi….My name is Niladri….I am a B.Tech in Civil Engineering…I have got 8 years of experience working in the COnstruction Industry in Business Development….Will it be fruitfull to change my career in Digital Marketing…
Niladri: With 8 years of experience in BD, I would not recommend that you learn digital marketing to change your profile to digital marketing as you would be treated as a fresher. However, as mentioned in the below article, you should look at acquiring digital marketing skills to expand your profile and grow in your career through our program:
https://www.digitalvidya.com/blog/blog/why-should-i-do-a-digital-marketing-course/
Hope this helps. All the best!
Hello Pradeep Sir,
Its really amazing how you have patiently answered to everyone’s question.
My query is slightly different. I am a 2003 BE passout. After that I worked for 6 yrs in couple of MNC’s as a SAP technical consultant. After that I took a career break due to family reasons and now my break has got extended to total of 7yrs.
I want to start working again, that’s when I came across digital marketing and your article. Could you please let me know if this course would be beneficial for me. I don’t mind starting again as a fresher.
Also, currently as I am in the UK , can I do the course from here and will it help me to get a job in UK as well or only in India.
How much would the course cost me in £.
Waiting for your reply.
Thanks.
Kiran: Thanks for your kind words and glad to know your interest. As earlier, I would be straight and honest in sharing my views:
Considering your experience, you would surely be treated as a fresher in digital marketing after doing a digital marketing course like ours. If an organization would like to hire someone at a fresher level, they would prefer you provided you are willing to join at a salary they would offer to a fresher and if they see your experience valuable.
I would recommend you to look for freelancing/part-time opportunities (could be from UK/India) after you acquire digital marketing skills to begin with and over a period of time moving to digital marketing as a full time job would be relatively easier. You may actually want to explore techno-marketing profiles to be able to leverage your previous experience.
Hope this helps. The course fee would be around ~700 in Pounds.
Hello sir,
It is very useful article.. specially the tools part and yes the way you explained the whole hierarchy in MNCs.. i dont have much query regarding DM.. i jst want to thank you for this article.. cause you already answered my questions through it..
You are welcome Pranav! Glad to know that your found this article valuable.
HI PRADEEP,
i AM engineering graduate and now WORKING IN BANK OF BARODA WITH 2.5 YRS OF EXPERIENCE.
I want to switch the job due to transfer process of banks and would like to get the job where my banking experience can be counted.
whether digital marketing can help me in switching my job and get better career options.
Ruchika: Glad to know your interest in digital marketing. Given my brother also works in Bank of Baroda, I can understand your pain related to transfers.
Fortunately, 2.5 years is not too long a time and banking is one of the most active industries using digital marketing. I would recommend you acquire digital marketing skills and apply for digital marketing roles in Financial industry. Even if you may have to take a hit in your 1st salary, it will be worth considering long term career opportunity.
Hope this helps. All the best!

Hi Pradeep,
I am a first-gen entrepreneur, who is building a mobile app startup. I would like to acquire some digital marketing skills, which i feel will be useful for an early stage startup founder like me. Since i am a one man army now, i felt that acquiring these skills will help accelerate the growth of the start-up during its initial phase. i would like to hear your opinion on this.
Apart from this, i am also planning to take up digital marketing as a career till i see some traction for my start up. I hold a Commerce degree and a Master’s in International Business and Management. I have 1 year experience in traditional sales and marketing in the FMCG industry, which i gain during my previous startup. Unfortunately, i had to shut down operations due to some reasons. Now, that i am looking to carry this experience and shift to the digital marketing domain, i would like to hear from you on how this move will compliment my career and also how the CDMM course will contribute to this cause.
Nikhil: Given your background and your future plans, it’s natural (I would say mandatory) for you to acquire digital marketing skills. It’s going to significantly contribute to your entrepreneurial and career plans in Digital Marketing. Hope this helps!

Hi, I have nearly 7 years of exp in B2B sales. Will this be a good move to get into a digital marketing at this stage. Secondly, What could be potential opportunity, if I opt for freelancing or a part time job. Will Digital Vidya support me in pursuing part time job opportunity as well?
Gautam: Glad to know your interest in digital marketing. With 7 years experience in Sales, I would not recommend you to look at shifting your profile to digital marketing as you will be treated a fresher. Check this FAQs document to understand the opportunity for digital marketing for you:

I want to know should opt for a digital marketing course if yes then which one is the right one for me and if no then why?
Sure Arka. Considering your education (i.e. MBA Marketing) and assuming that you don’t have too many years of experience as Research Associate, you can surely accelerate your career growth by acquiring digital marketing skills.

Hi, I had completed my MBA (HR) in 2014 . Then i started to prepare for government exams bt when i came to know about digital marketing i want to do the course. Is there any good scope for me? What should i do to be best in this field? Please guide me.
Thank you
Vasumathi: As we discussed during the orientation session today, yes it’s possible for you to build a career in the digital marketing industry.
Hello Sir,
I have an MBA in Marketing and 4 years of experience in Sales in Packaging (labels) industry. There’s no DM department within the company I am currently working for and hence the scope is only limited to Sales and Account Management. I want to switch to a profile where there is a scope for both traditional as well as digital marketing. Can you please guide me on what kind of job profiles will be best suited for me to further my career considering my four years of experience? Can I sign up for CDMM course while taking up another job?
Srishti: Glad to know your interest. I am not sure if you’ve prior experience in traditional marketing. If you don’t have any prior experience in traditional marketing, I can’t think of an immediate direct route to a profile related to traditional marketing.
At the same time, given you are an MBA in Marketing, after acquiring Digital Marketing skills, you can think of a role related to an Account Manager in a digital marketing agency. It will leverage your previous experience in Sales & A/C Management and your digital marketing skills.
The other benefits of learning digital marketing include:
a.) Building your personal brand
b.) Freelancing opportunities
c.) Realize your entrepreneurial dream (if you aspire to)
Yes, you can sign-up for CDMM course while in a job.
Hope this helps? Let me know if you’ve any other query.

please help me and reply a proper answer
Piyansh: It’s great to know your interest in digital marketing at this age. The stream in class XI/XII doesn’t make a difference regarding your career in digital marketing.
It is great to be REading and aware about it. Thanks pradeep ji.
Sir I have completed diploma in mechanical in 2016 I have some backlogs till now but am very much interested in digital marketing since start of the 2017 am following many bloggers and digital market executives I want to do this from a long time.but I think it’s the ryt time to choose.sir do my educational qualification make a problem in earning a good job ?
Mohammad: Apologies for a delayed response. You don’t have a significant gap to pursue a career in digital marketing. It’s the right time for you.
Sir, I am B tech 2016 pass out and after passing I have been preparing for government exams but unfortunately not selected in anyone of them.
so now I decided to quit from it and learn digital marketing.
Come to the my quires now ,
1.After completing my course am i able to find a 20k-25k per month job as a fresher at any location, I am doubtful because I don’t have any job experience and after seeing so many job profiles on naukri.com and all others no single company gives more than 15k-20k even for experienced person, There are no jobs for freshers in this field.
2.Each and Every institutes and trainer advertise that do this certification and make your carrier,FInd your job or make money in multi dimensions of internet ,
But each know there is 2 side in a coin or there is dark side in any filed so how many % of people who opt for this course and want to learn each and everything seriously but due to some reasons he cant ,then what hw do?
will he success?
will he find jobs?
Sorry sir its too long but I m so confused, because If i give up goverment prepatin now and start this course then maybe willI never turn back.
Lakshya: Find below my answers.
1.) Salary: A fresher (without any exceptional educational background) in digital marketing gets a salary between Rs 15-25k/month. If you are getting a good profile, even if your starting salary is Rs 15-20k, you should join, considering the long-term career growth.
2.) Certification: Instead of focusing on just certifications, you should look at acquiring practical skills as that matters the most. While our CDMM program gives you direct certificates from Digital Vidya, Vskills, Facebook & Linkedin and prepares you for Hubspot, Google AdWords & Analytics certifications, it’s real value lies in the practical learning.
Hope this helps. All the best!

I had done my btech ece 2014 and i was working as a manual testing. but there was not growth. i have 2.9 year experienced. So i left job. can i grow my career in digital marketing ? i left my job in jan 2018.
suggest me right way to grow my career.
Thanks
Apologies for a delayed response Rajnish. In our experience, switching to digital marketing after up to 2 years of experience is easily possible. If you are willing to start at the entry level digital marketing salary, it could be possible for you to switch. Moreover, you can also look for freelancing opportunities as well.
You may have to begin with internship/part-time roles to gain some industry experience before you could switch to a full-time role.
Hope this helps!

I have 1.4 years of experience working as a digital marketing executive. Should I apply for any specialist role or look for Digital marketing analyst role.
Harish: If you are strong in Analysis and have a keen interest in Analytics you can look for specializing in Analyst profile. Choose for this profile only when you are sure that Analytics profile interests you and you have strong analytical skills. Also, if you choose a career as an Analyst, you must learn various tools. Hope this helps. All the best!
Hello,
I have 14 years of experience in IT (Testing), want to switch my career in Digital Marketing.
Along with freelance , i am interested in full time / regular job in the field of Digital Marketing(at mid level)
My area of interest is data analysis .
Is it possible?
Thanks
With 14 years experience in IT, I would not recommend you to look for switching your career in Digital Marketing as you would be treated a fresher in this industry. Freelancing in digital marketing along with your primary profile in IT is possible.
I don’t know how strong you are in Technical (not Testing) skills, you can look at expanding your profile by looking for MarTech/Marketing Automation roles in Digital Marketing, wherein you leverage your existing Technical skills combined with newly acquired digital marketing skills.
Hope this addresses your queries?
Hi
Mr Pradeep,
I have done BTech and having four years of experience in Sales & Marketing but I want to be in marketing only & digital marketing is a good option for future prospect plz suggest will my experience count in D.M field or what should I do for better growth.
Ankit: If you have reasonably good experience in Marketing then expanding your profile to digital marketing is possible. If you only have experience in only sales then it may be difficult to switch to digital marketing. With some basic experience in digital marketing, you can also look for Account Management roles (wherein you combine both marketing and business development skills) in digital marketing agencies.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any follow-up question.
