When he Chose Startup over an American Job Offer
It was a conscious decision when Pradeep said a prompt yes to Kapil’s offer of joining him and start a company when no one was really aware of Digital Marketing. Amidst the pressure from family and financial instability, who knew dropping the job offer from an American company, both the college buddies would together see the hustling journey to success.
Soon after graduating from IIT Delhi in 1999, Pradeep and Kapil started Whizlabs Software, a leading company in Technology and Project Management Certification preparation industry. With the power of Digital Media, they sold Whizlabs first product in the US in January 2011.
The company won the ‘Most Innovative Indian IT Company’ award from NASSCOM in 2004.
Turning the right stones one after another, it was 28th November 2009 when Pradeep Chopra CEO, Digital Vidya, along with Kapil Nakra Co-founded Digital Vidya which is now a leading digital marketing learning platform.
And now it’s been more than 15 years of entrepreneurship and they are still evolving themselves in the digital marketing journey.

A Kick-Start to Digital Vidya
Although it was October 2009 when the idea about Digital Vidya was actualized, but it was not until January 2010 that the first workshop on Social Media Marketing took place in Delhi.
How was it different from the mainstream?
In a conventional scenario, you would expect a workshop for students but not here as the foundation of Digital Vidya was unique. They wanted to come up with a pertinent platform where students and professionals from different domains can learn internet marketing.
Within few months, Digital Vidya successfully became the one-stop destination for Social Media Education in India where professionals from every sphere of life as well as students knocked Digital Vidya’s doors to seek assistance.
It wasn’t too late when Digital Vidya started with its in-house customized training programs for corporations. The first corporate training was conducted for Top Management at Intuit in Bangalore. They just wanted a direction and they got the right direction. Immediately after that, Digital Vidya became the prominent leader in the industry. Some of corporate workshops have taken place in Malaysia, UAE, Oman, and Singapore.
