Digital Marketing is that domain that has gained popularity amongst people from varied fraternities. With a view to emerge amongst the list of top active users on several digital marketing platforms, it is imperative that the several aspects are taken into consideration.
In the same context, Kirthiga Reddy, MD, Facebook India who was a speaker at the Adobe Digital Marketing Forum held at country’s capital city, Delhi, it came across that phase of varied level and types of customers to cater to, brands and companies have to re-think and re-work on their digital marketing strategies so as to get noticed and reach out to the targeted set of audience.

“The two fundamental shifts happening in customer behaviour are that they are increasingly going digital and they are going digital on mobile. We have 118 million people on Facebook in India and 106 million of those users have accessed Facebook on their mobile phones,” Reddy said.

Mr. Reddy also stated that the personalized  content which is people focused and much more focused on the key brands so that the opportunity has been high rated. “People are demanding personalized content and the best brands are delivering.”

One of the examples he gave was that of a the renowned brand Coca-Cola, that targeted the digital campaign via Facebook to increase their consumer base in tier 2 down cities. “They did smart segmentation, leveraged mobile and did a people oriented digital campaign. They saw some great results.”
Reddy also said that social is a great platform for smaller brands to engage with customers and Facebook will continue to make investments in making businesses see the RoI of engaging via the social networking platform. “We have over 900,000 businesses using our Pages offering. We invest in helping brands see RoI in digital marketing all the time.”

Thus, to generate and fetch the best results, it is essential to frame content that is not only engaging but also personalized and people-focused such that the digital marketing campaigns work in the best possible way.
