People first read your headline and then content. According to Copyblogger 80% of  people first read headline, but only 20% go on to read the rest of the original post. To avoid “Headline Churn” it is important to write headline catchy and attractive. Search engines truncate headlines if it is too long adding the dreaded “….”  to the end of headlines. As a rule of thumb most search engines will max out around 65 characters.
